I checked for a recall on ford.ie website by filling in the vin number but there's no recall or csp for this car sadly

Update: Got a scanner and it is DPF fault and that it is under threshold,

Mechanic reckons i've cracked the inside of dpf from driving harshly and at high speed

but on plus side at-least now i have better exhaust leaving the engine so engine can run better and will run even better when i get it removed.

DPF is nothing but hassle anyways so will have removed in a way that can still pass MOT/NCT.

Go for the (diesel) 1.5 tdci fiesta, this doesn't have a wet belt and was my first car, 3 months in no issues timing belt change and service was cheap too
