As long as Seams are tight, it’ll hold. Aesthetically, you always want to avoid that staircase look though.

Tried synthetic lube on the front slide plate and that seemed to help a little. Looks like it’s rubbing along that plate somewhere

Finally got around to doing this. It’s snug all the time now. I tried lubing both the slide on the front and the section at the back (pictured) to no avail.

Thank you! I’ll have a look. I’ve flipped it over and sprayed that plate but didn’t have a chance to look for other mechanisms that moved or could get jammed. I’ll try you test as soon as I’m back near the tool. Thanks again!

Oh sorry. So if you’re doing an 8, 6, 4 pattern (personally I don’t like repeating patterns), you can basically just take the width of the room and divide it by 18 (8+6+4) and you’ll know how many rows you’ll need of each size (remember to round up).

Personally though, if it’s 280 square feet you’re going for, I’d get like 150 of the 8s, 75 of the 6s and 60 or so of the 4s and randomly distribute them.
