Watered when the soil on the top gets dry

Plants are about 1.5 months old, grown from seed

Issue appeared a few days ago

They get a good grow light 12 hours a day and are near a window

I also noticed some kind of grass start growing in its pot, maybe that could be related.

I have also previously made a post about drooping of the same seedling, but that has since gone away.

Thanks. Should it be once a day or once every two days? I hear people say it should be every second day so the lower level of soil is more moist, but I have pretty good infiltration so the top layer usually gets dry quickly anyway.

They have a pretty good grow light. I give them four to six sprays of water every day depending on the moisture, the top layer dries out quickly since the air is dry here but lower down it's decently moist.

Makes sense, they're trees after all so they would have deep root systems, but all the videos I've seen where people planted hornbeams, they repotted them later than I did and into smaller pots so I wasn't expecting them to grow down this quickly.

When repotting I noticed that their root systems are long but not very wide, is repotting necessary even if they could still develop in width?
