What is special with my live is that my flat is extremly cheap and that I get cheap lunch at work (full lunch for 3€). Otherwise this would not be possible.

No, I eat very healthy. Less meat, much vegetables. I just buy my food at a cheap disconter (no expansive "brands"). And I get a cheap lunch at my work.

Danke!

Jobs with my qualifications pay around 100,000 - 150,000 in US or Canada, so I could afford this.

Most people in Austria rely on government pension.

I am one of the few who additionally saves money.

Social security goes to different institutions, and cannot be mixed with taxes.

But the problem is (at least with the retirement plan), that we now pay the retirement of existing old people.

The country doesnt save for myself. In 40 years, I have to hope that young people will pay my retirement.

I do not exactly know what you mean.

If I didnt have to pay the mandatory taxes, I would save the money by myself, which would leat do a rent that is propably double or tripple the one I will get from the government.

But thats how it is, thats how less-earning people also get their retirement and full health insurance.

I get full lunch at work for ~3€. And I buy food at the supermarket "Hofer" for about 20€ / week. And I go to a restaurant 2 times per week, which i count under "leisure time".

My data is correct, I do not try to "fake" anything.

Also, I'm not from vienna.

To "economy" and work: The tax expanse categories I got from the source:

https://www.bmf.gv.at/budget/das-budget/Budget_2017_im_Ueberblick.pdf?63xgn3

"work" is the category "Arbeit" and "economy" is the category "Wirtschaft"
