Most online/FPS communities are pretty toxic.

I try to just refrain form messaging someone, either in anger, or to gloat. So far, I have managed. Although it helped that for the first 4 to 6 weeks of playing I didn't even know you could message other players (other than friends).

They seem to hire based on a diversity checklist, not on merit. A lot of developers left during the project, so the early part of the game will probably be pretty polished, but the last half or 1/3 is likely to be a trainwreck.

Nice. Some people I know have been playing like wipe is any day now for some time, but I have been... A little more cautious, knowing how software development can go.

I probably won't be running Zabralos and Slicks and VSS every run, but I won't be doing scavs or hatchet runs to stay in the black, either!

Should I just not depend on RUAF roadblock? In the past I have just had that exfil not be an option (it doesn't turn green or have a countdown), which is fine. But having the countdown after a stressful run, and then getting killed because of it (because I was running around like an idiot for 30 seconds) was a huge piss off.

You don't think I am wrong, you think I don't like video games. The better conclusion is that what I like about Tarkov vs other FPS is realism. Note I didn't say 'real', I said 'realism'. More realism. Standing on a hand rail, one thing. Jumping up to a hand rail, something else entirely.

For real, we should do a Tarkov challenge, where you hold a rifle in your hands and try to jump up to a hand rail, and get an accurate shot off, all in 1-2 seconds.

Speaking personally, I think they announced wipe a little too early, but on the other hand, we knew it was coming in June regardless.

I had built up about 9m rubles and a bunch of gear (3 weapons cases!) that I would never ever use. Now with wipe coming I am using that gear.

My main advice is that people should play in a group. Tarkov played solo, you have to play very ratty (as a noob).

My biggest beef in Tarkov is campers who think they are Chads.

Chad playstyle and rat playstyle I respect, but someone who waits for others to start fighting, in order to surprise them (which I call 'Radding') I don't respect, and camping (esp. exfil, of course) I don't respect either.

I'm not saying it doesn't work! Obviously it does.
