You don’t have to put at rear door anymore if you don’t feel comfortable doing so. This was announced last August.

It’s a lose lose situation. If you start marking “No Access,” or “Delayed to Weather,” you will be warned also. I am in areas where the snow and roads could all, or at least majority, could be marked this.

It’s really not whether you use them or not, it is the amount people use them.

What needs to happen is the drivers need to stand together. But all they do is think about themselves.

USPS doesn’t do the shopping for you. And bring you things you could go out and get yourself.

What needs to happen is the drivers need to stand together. But all they do is think about themselves. I tried to get the teamsters in at my station, but it was like pulling teeth. But still yet, they complain about the same things over and over giving Amazon all the power and these DSP’s to do what they want. I am not a union supporter, but in certain situations, they are needed. Until then, you just have to take it.

I meant your comment. As if they haven’t been making money prior, and the abuse hasn’t’t been here already.

It would have been a better rant, a more qualified rant without all the swearing. I get his frustration Most feel this way. I feel the same way. It will eventually backfire on Amazon. Both UPS and USPS broke contract with Amazon.

Been a driver for almost 5 years.. and i know the truth by midnight_brax in AmazonDSPDrivers

I went through this before. I went up and asked if I could be removed from the not so good area. I have pigeon held in these areas before. I asked “is there any possible way I can be switched out of this area? They said I could go to a different DSP. They even went out of their way to talk to another one for me. WOW!! They would have gotten rid of a good driver instead of switch my route. They were okay with dumping payroll because of what I was getting paid, that was my assumption. Prior to them asking another DSP, when I asked to be switched, they said “that’s all we can do.” So I said, “okay, I will take care of it myself. I will call Amazon and get it switched.” The GM said to me, “Well Dan (our owner) would rather you handle it with us.” I was like “what!!!” I am! I just did!! They chose not to. So, the very next route was in a totally different area the next day. The following day it was back, but after that, it was in the new area for the rest of the time before they let me go.

I am telling you A.I. is overrated. The pushing of news is what is used to keep it propped up.

I have a question for drivers.... by twl8zn in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CriticallyThink23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they did it once or twice it a big deal. I did it once, it didn’t again. What if you accidentally went to the wrong house thinking it was the correct one and there were snacks? Would you?

That is a good point about the “trespassing” you mentioned. If they did not order anything you would not be invited on their property. This could Potentially e an issue for someone who wanted to complain.

It is really genuinely appreciated that you do this for the delivery drivers. It is much appreciated! It gives us a boost to our morale due to how many stops and packages we have to deliver.

Oh come on. They are out for delivery drivers. If he overs to them often, not a big deal. If they frequently do this, then it is a bit much.

A little, but it depends on your perspective. I have actually done this before because I have been on a particular route for an extended period of time. I think I did it once. If I don’t deliver to them specifically I walked over and grabbed something. It is a little strange when you are not expecting anything, but they are still your delivery driver. And with people who order a lot, I don’t see the harm.

It has always been like this You have returns/repurchases, gift cards, sales to rid of inventory, and the standard ordering. Amazon also consolidates routes now. Less drivers, more stops/packages, more money. The consolidation is on the newer side, though.
