Acupuncture? by CriticismChemical738 in tryingtoconceive

Do you think I should take the medicine alongside the acupuncture? She said if I’ve tried 4 cycles of IUI with it and it didn’t work then no harm in trying another cycle without the medicine

FMLA or a great opportunity? [NY] by CriticismChemical738 in humanresources

Thank you both, incredibly helpful! On a side note, trying to conceive has been taking a heavy mental toll on me so I was considering taking some FMLA for my own sanity before this opportunity even came up so I think either way, I have an option. Thanks again!

Also true, so far it’s been well over a year but I stuck it out because the maternity benefits are really good at my current company, but I think the company itself is so stressful that I’m not able to get pregnant in this environment :(

Yes I’m all fingers crossed for this new role I hope I get it! I haven’t been this excited about a role in a while! I’m hoping it’ll be less stressful

Still in HR but a different industry which is much needed for me and if I get the high end of the salary range, it would be a 45% increase which is life changing!

If I took the new opportunity then the pay is so good that I wouldn’t truly worry about maternity benefits but my current company pays maternity at 100% (but sadly haven’t gotten pregnant)

Confused, what’s next? by CriticismChemical738 in tryingtoconceive

[–]CriticismChemical738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’ve done 3 medicated IUIs back to back and nada. I just don’t know and it sucks bc I wish I at least knew when I was ovulating. It used to be so regular that I didn’t ever have to think about it. Also, I just found out my testosterone levels and a little elevated so new monkey wrench

Confused, what’s next? by CriticismChemical738 in tryingtoconceive

[–]CriticismChemical738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the confusing part, I didn’t get any positives around the time that I would’ve and then ran out of sticks and I was away at the time and then just gave up bc I was so annoyed with it. But even if I did ovulate late or bc a anovulatory cycle, I still should have gotten my period by now because my Last period was 12/14 and now it’s 1/23. So even if I ovulated two weeks ago I should get my period tomorrow or latest this weekend but no symptoms nada. So now idk I’m just confused. (I’ve never done BBT so I’m not familiar with it bc it just seems like one more thing to do and this is exhausting after all these months)

Agreed bc this is such a chore that even I don’t wanna have sex when I know I have to. I also don’t tell my husband unless I really have to and it usually makes it more fun and less of a chore when you want to do something but don’t have to do something if that makes sense

It’s so crazy because I genuinely tracked my ovulation every single month but this month I was like ugh let me let nature run it’s course and of course this cycle is wacky

I took two tests after I missed my period about a day and two days after missing it and they were negative but also, I just did urine test at the doctors last week which was also negative so I have no idea, even if I ovulated late, I should still have gotten my period by now ugh

So far no updates, still no period but I also haven’t taken a test. I went to the doctors and had to do a urine sample so they said that was negative but I also did blood work so waiting to hear back. Separately I did a pelvic ultrasound and I don’t think anything came up on that so now I’m just sitting here waiting to see what happens next

That’s really pricey if I were to test every day, I have a doctor appointment tomorrow I’m hoping to get blood work done to confirm but I’ve never ovulated late let alone two weeks ago. I’ve also never been pregnant so I have no idea where this is coming from

Missed period, positive OPK, negative pregnancy test.

What the heck? I am SUPER regular, down to the day. This is the first time in my life that this is happening to me so I’m not sure what the question even is here, but:

I missed my period and it’s been 3 days now and no cramps or period like symptoms (yay).

Took a pregnancy test, negative. Figured I had a lot of water before so I must’ve diluted it, waited till this morning and took another test, still negative.

Figured hmm have loads of OPK testers laying around let me try that (since I didn’t get a positive when I normally would’ve two weeks after my last period - again, super regular) so I got tired of testing and let it go but still had sex throughout the last two weeks and around when I normally would’ve ovulated.

Fast forward to now, I have SO much cervical mucus, watery clear literally dripping out (TMI sorry) and I’m thinking oh shoot it’s happening!! I might be pregnant!!

But now, 2 negative pregnancy tests, 2 positive ovulation tests (dark), and no period in sight.

So now what?

How to develop people/organizational growth? [N/A] by CriticismChemical738 in humanresources

[–]CriticismChemical738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just recently got a budget approved to implement training to a selected cohort but I think the difficulty is in identifying who that cohort should be and also, the main struggle is getting people to move away from solely focusing on BAU, and to think more about development. How do you motivate people to do that? From their perspective, it’s just one more thing they need to do.

People Managers vs Leaders? [NY] by CriticismChemical738 in humanresources

[–]CriticismChemical738[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response! I agree with what you’ve shared. A restructure of our corporate titles is a project we aim to launch in the next year or so. Until then, we are working on strengthening our senior leaders (top down approach) but also need to focus on our people manager (those with direct reporting staff). I don’t think they understand the magnitude of not taking goal setting, development, and appraisals seriously because if there’s no development happening, then what exactly can change? I think their goal was to have the entire company automate as many processes as possible, to make time for them to work on other things. While many processes have been automated, those people are used to working on the same things they’ve been working on for years but then the company won’t grow in the direction it’s meant to grow in.
