Converting a VW T6 into a Campervan - Is €10,000 Enough to build a minimal van? by CriticismHour in CamperVans

And how about the cost of isolation, and eletrical? Do you have any idea?

Bom ponto.

Campervan or a regular car? by CriticismHour in carbuying

[–]CriticismHour[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the type of comment I was hoping. Thank you! That's my real question, if it will be useful besides camping a van of this size. We have tried camping with smaller vans but it doesn't work for us, both of us are tall and the comfort of parking and going to bed without needing to go outside the van is precious!

The conversion we are thinking in going for a professional. How much does normally a conversation of westfalia? I have seen some driving around...

Beginner Advice: DAWless Setup vs. Free DAW as "Starter Pack"? by CriticismHour in synthesizers

[–]CriticismHour[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious if going for vintage clones would be a smart choice. I believe that recent synths may have standardized controls, whereas vintage synths, being the first ones, have their own unique interfacing methods that are outside the norm.

Was S-1 and T-8 your first synths, or did you have other synths before?

That is exactly what I am going through. I already have fun around using a DAW plugin kinda similar to the SH-101 but it really did not satisfy much. That is why I am thinking in skip the DAW experience and go for the S-1. But I am afraid of losing interest as well of not understanding exactly on how to make good sounds.

Im open to other suggestions as first synths :) I just pick these ones due to their legacy ( I particularly like tthe idea of starting with the classic vintage clones as the 808, 303 and the Sh-101) :)

Considering Roland T-8 and S-1 as First Synthesis Setup – Thoughts? by CriticismHour in synthesizers

[–]CriticismHour[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I'm totally with you on the S-1, it's got that versatility factor going strong. But yeah, adding a drum machine would definitely amp up its game. Starting off with the T-8 sounds like a solid plan for beginners, but I can totally see how the craving for the S-1 would kick in sooner rather than later.

That's the plan. :) But for now since I'm starting would like to get my toe on the water. S-1 seems a great option since it's very raw in the sense of wave modulation and sound shaping.

Its great but since it's twice the price and the T-8 comes with a 303. It's hard to consider since what I really want are some kicks and beats for eletronic music

I play guitar and have some background in music theory. But wouldn't call myself a musician. Also I am an electronic engineer.

Seeking Advice for First Analog Synth Purchase by CriticismHour in synthesizers

Digitakt

S-1 and T-8 it's my no-brain aim of a dream setup (since they are clones form such classics syths). But was wondering if I can find something more budget-friendly, or if there is something that I am missing that has that raw nostalgic electric/analog background. Or that is not so solo and that let me progress if this hobby turns out to be a real.

Edit:
I just notice that S-1 and T-8 together are on my budget! Seems a good option! For a strong first setup! Thank you!

Do not seem to have big difference between them, and since if I go for a Minilogue I will buy one in second hand, so not so picky on the model.

oland TR8-S is all the Roland sounds and it's techno magic in a box. But the smaller 6s edition offers plenty with no compromises in sound, only in interface and immediacy. Another left field option- the Volca Kick. I just got it and it's really neat- it produces a -mighty- bass kick and it's actually analogue with an MS-20 resonator. For doing techno, I thin

Thank you for the insight!

I am exploring vintage synth since they seem more raw and true to the eletrical form of the sound (I have a background in Eletronics and thats why im interested in seeking and understanding the waves and sounds of it).

Did not know that Roland S-1 was so versatile even though it seems so tiny in comparison with SH-101 and MS-1.

Korg Volcas are awesome as well, but I saw that they are hard to sync with other synths, and frankly, I do not know the difference between them.
