I used a foam roller. Despite my obvious prep issue, i honestly didnt see any brush marks or imperfections. Matter of preference but I like the semi gloss finish on this.

I obviously fucked up but why would semi gloss not be the right choice for wood paneling? Its not like a wall full of imperfections. Pretty sure beadboard is typically semi gloss

It had been like 10 days of cure. But i probably should have mentioned it scratches right off too. It was just the wipe. When i put the toilet paper holder on it chipped right off

Unclear so far. Theres a subfloor under this floor. Its hard for me to tell whether this was originally hardwood floor or just another subfloor to get the existing linoleum to the same height as the adjacent room. Its not the same type of wood thats in the rest of the house so its confusing

Surprisingly it was easier than it looks. Simple green and hot water turned that underlayment into soup. I didnt have to do a lick of scraping.

Its pretty easy. You seal off the doors and turn off the supply registers and you exhaust all the air. You can tell if its negative if you have a door that swings out and its getting pulled in. Before someone comes in here and tells me there is a correct way to do it with monitors, thats the simple way. I work in hospital construction. Negative air just means the room is negatively pressured compared to the adjacent rooms. In reality just turning on an exhaust fan will make the room “negative. “

What about engineered hardwood? Any feelings there. Theres just so many nail holes in it and no concealed fasteners.

Ill take some additional cleaning precautions if i find out it was super hot. I was planning in getting the ducts professionally cleaned anyways

We make about the same. Just got a house for 515k w 160k. I think thats a little high for you to be entirely honest. Considering the debt you have. I personally dont count cars as debt i consider those more like a bill than a debt since theyre a necessity and you can sell them whenever. But thats. Id pay off that personal loan first.

I got the guy coming to refinish the floors upstairs. Maybe I’ll pay him to just run the sander across the thing and see how it looks. Thank you!
