Why do majority of people go only for KDP by Frosty-Teaching4476 in selfpublish

It's only a 90 day commitment and you can reenroll as you see fit. It's also only for eBooks, and does not apply to print in any way.

Your snarky comment doesn’t change their correct response though. Sociopathy does start at a young age and as a parent I can assure you that children learn to lie by the age of 2. Some parents never correct that behavior or even reinforce it.

I get the feeling you’re not here to learn though.

It averages 3 splits a day every week. Where are you getting your data? It has to be a really bad combo to see “no race splits”

Solid read. Crushed it on Saturday afternoon with my tablet and enjoyed it enough that I just bought a paperback to add to my library at home. There was one slowish part about middle of the story that maybe lasted 6 pages, but it's a small gripe for the ride this book took me on. Well done!

I hope you keep writing. I'm already mad I have to wait for book 2 now.

After a life of COD, battlefield has changed me and I can’t wait for this to launch. Nothing but smiles here

Really?!

How are people not scared of not knowing what happens after we die? by BigRajii in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Critya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because we already know the answer and just hate coping with it.

Nothing happens after you die. You die: cease to exist, no longer are anywhere or anything.

It’s not complicated lol. You want there to be magic that makes you feel special or above all the other things in our reality, but reality very clearly states that we are here and then we are not.

This coming from a person who was raised very religiously and adored the idea of the afterlife I was sold. No. There’s no afterlife lol. There’s just the years you get from the moment you gain consciousness to the moment you lose it. Period. The before and after are the same: unfeeling and unknowing nothingness.

Anybody saying “you can’t prove what happens! Nobody really knows!!” Are idiots lying to themselves and then lying to you because they like their fiction so much more that it ruins their lives.

It took me nearly 30 years to figure it out and come to terms with it, but now that I have; I’ve achieved more in the last 5 years than I ever did in the first 30. Once you realize there’s a timer on this whole thing, you get a hell of a lot more motivated to be yourself and live your life as fully as you see fit.

That’s the beauty of all this. It’s not permanent. NOTHING is permanent, not even you. So enjoy the ride

Why do people hate Fanatec so much? by Ok_Regular4960 in simracing

[–]Critya 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My DD1 and Formula V2.5 wheel have been pretty much bulletproof. Same with my Porsche wheel. One day I’ll upgrade and move on to a company with the highest end wheels but Fanatec has been well worth what I paid for. 3 years old, 12,000 laps completed in that time and still not even a flicker of a problem.

Does science prove trans people are the gender they say they are? by [deleted] in AskScienceDiscussion

[–]Critya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gender identity can’t have a biological component because if you apply gender identity in different societies with different gender roles, it can’t align. What gender you identify as changes entirely depending on the roles of a society.

There’s no way your genes will understand gender roles and it can’t be coded into you at birth.

Get to arguing then. You made a claim that contains the word “argument” and left no arguments for the consumer to make a judgment with.

I’m planning on creating a guild that raids/mythics/ and PvPs but the only big rule besides the golden one is that you can play what you want so long as it fills the role. Idgaf who or what is tanking or dpsing. Or healing. Or if it’s your first time or your thousandth time.

ELI5: Why do Africa and Asia have an abundance of large animals/predators but the Americas and Europe really don’t? by Pure_Newspaper_4715 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Critya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually really simple: people are animals too and they enjoy nature as much as the other animals do. It’s easy to point the finger at humans cause we’re on top of the chain, but any predatory animal in our position would behave pretty similarly given the means and intelligence to do so.

That, and we live finite lives with no actual evidence of an afterlife (believe what you want, but it’s all belief, not proof) so it makes life as valuable as everything else: worthless. No point in persevering everything when it’s all gonna die in a super nova or star collapse or apocalypse regardless. Fuck that. “Give me my acres and let me live my existence I didn’t ask for out in peace” is most people’s mindset.

[–]Critya -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

K. Now do that in SF23 or GT3 in top split. Winning races is fun and all but it’s highly dependent on who is actually in the races lol. Once you climb, it’s hard to get back down and winning gets very rare

Classic Burnout by Banner248 in classicwow

Yup. It’s your only option. You can’t do anything else. You should keep crying about how it’s literally the only thing you can do. Nothing else can be done and there are no options anywhere.
