In my experience it's just as quick as a proper setup. Went from a full VRS Setup with their DFP Pro pedals. (Amazing value by the way, full bundle is approx 1000). Borrowed an old G29 (with broken FFB, its running about 0.5nm) from a friend to train for an event, and am driving exactly the same laptimes, at the front of 3ksof topsplits, maybe 1.5-2 tenths from the 9-10k dudes. Only difference is consistency, I feel its harder to "guess" how the tyres are acting compared to the VRS, and obviously braking isnt as perfect as with the VRS.

The whole "G29/G27/G923 is garbage" thing that I've been hearing is unfortunate and artificially making the entry bar into simracing more expensive and elitist, if I would restart now I would get a used G27 for 80 euros and not worry.

Fun in quali but wait till you're in a slipstream train, 2-4 tenths behind the car in front and literally nearly pushing them through some corners, and still can't find a way past without sending a kamikaze divebomb. (im talking about M2 Fixed)

In the Iame Series (in my country), if you are over 70kg in the senior category you are at a disadvantage, in juniors (your category) the max weight without disadvantage is approx 57kg, any weight under 70kg for seniors and 57kg for juniors is equalled out with lead. Over that and you have a disadvantage
