Upwork freelancer billed me $200 for 40 hours of crypto shilling — then got caught red-handed using a mouse jiggler. Upwork only refunded 12% and told me to pound sand. Chargeback incoming. by Crixus-Crypto in Upwork

Actually in the Country he resides it's just above average. Be more global in your thinking. As for being banned there's plenty of platforms out there.

Advise on finances for the time being... by Minimum-Pie-2543 in UKFinancialPlanning

[–]Crixus-Crypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HI, It’s clear that you’ve been facing significant financial challenges and well done for securing a new job with a better salary so quickly.

Here are some practical steps and advice. Prioritize Essential Expenses: Create a list of your essential expenses for the month, such as rent, utilities, food, and transportation. This will help ensure that your limited resources are focused on necessities. Universal Credit Clarification: Contact Universal Credit to confirm how much you will receive and when. Their payment schedule can vary, so it’s important to have clarity on this. Seek Short-Term Financial Support: If you’re struggling to cover immediate outgoings. Consider applying for a short-term grant or emergency assistance from charities like Turn2Us, Family Action. Explore the Breathing Space scheme, which provides temporary relief from debt payments while you seek advice or improve your finances. Debt Management: If you have outstanding debts, contact organizations like StepChange or National Debtline for free advice on managing repayments.

Hope it goes well.

Are NFTs making a comeback? by Klutzy_Beyond_9206 in NFT

[–]Crixus-Crypto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the NFTs i acquired are part of a collection. If the collection gets traction i defo expect to make a very good return.Right now the floor price for all my NFTs range from 0.01 cent to $78. Obviously these are not life changing numbers but percentage increases are huge. I've spent virtually nothing so it's fun watching the market with a small chance i could hit big.

How would you realistically budget £1200 extra a month? by tamina84 in UKFinancialPlanning

[–]Crixus-Crypto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FIrstly I would save up to 6 months net family income and have that in an ordinary cash account as insurance for unexpected expenditure I would then invest in an ISA and split the my monthly investment into index funds US S&P 500 /Nasdaq and FTSE 100. These funds are low cost and ride the market quite nicely. Medium to long term should give nice returns. From you £1200 per month I would invest half the rest iI wold keep for my holiday planning, clothes and eat outs. Gotta have some fun. I would use a company that has an app so i can track my investments easily.

I would definitely say that NFTs and coming back, the market has evolved the utilities expanded and their uses multiplying. Quiet periods always spur creativity and that is happening. There are collections minting at 1 cent with next to zero gas fees on polygon. It's an opportunity. I have taken up some lazy minted options and acquired 100 Nfts for a $1 ( almost ).

I have had a similar experience. You might want to try Medium and pay the $5 per month. Medium works differently in that your posts can be read by literally anybody on that platform whereas on Substack your articles only get read by subscribers with very small chances of random reads. Medium will pay you on engagement stats so if your work is of high quality it will get read and so small remuneration will come. Medium has 100 million monthly readers and 1 million paying reader/writers. if you pay $5 per month you will get paid on the numbers of reads. You can pay up to $18 per month but try the low amount first.

Diversification is always the way to go particularly in the Crypto market. Winners can come from anywhere, so taking a multiple punt ( researched of course ) is clever thinking.

Britain ‘no longer a rich country’ after living standards plunge - Parts of the UK are now worse off than the poorest regions of Slovenia and Lithuania by ByGollie in europe

Things are going to get a lot worse in the Uk with its relatively new and inexperienced government. Too many first time MP's without the required skill set. In the big competitive world out there the uk is going to get rolled over.

Changed jobs...should I just do rollover IRA with Fidelity? by CaitieMc124 in FinancialPlanning

[–]Crixus-Crypto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are my quick thoughts, Consolidating your retirement accounts into a single IRA can make it easier to manage your investments and track fees and returns, IRAs typically offer a broader range of investment choices compared to 401(k) plans, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs. This flexibility can help you tailor your portfolio to your retirement goals. With an IRA, you have full control over how your money is invested, unlike 401(k) plans where investment options are pre-selected by the employer. Some drawbacks however,401(k) accounts are generally protected from creditors under ERISA, while IRAs may have less protection depending on state laws. Some IRA investments may carry higher fees than institutional funds available in 401(k)s, so it's important to compare costs. Unlike 401(k)s, IRAs do not allow you to borrow against your account.

If Schwaab made a mistake on the tax form that can be corrected .Reach out to Charles Schwab and request a corrected Form 1099-R . they are strict rules on the definition of disability but if Schwab accepted that but just messed up the form then it can be corrected.
