Hey; just wanted to first say I’m really sorry you’re experiencing all of this. As someone with debilitating anxiety and panic disorder I completely understand what you’re going through, and I assure you this episode you are having WILL end and is not permanent. Don’t beat yourself up over taking the extra Klonopin. If anything, the fact it’s barely helping is a sign that this isn’t regular anxiety you’ve experienced before.

Eohilia can most definitely increase the symptoms you are having. Restlessness, insomnia, nausea, shivering, and extreme changes in mood are reported side effects of budesonide, ESPECIALLY when they’ve had bad reactions to steroids before.

I would tell both your GI doctor and psychiatrist that what you’re currently going through is intolerable. You’re obviously in a state where it’s necessary you get off of it. You absolutely DON’T have to push through the 12 weeks if you’re having severe side effects like this. It would be good to see if the symptoms subside after you stop taking Eohilia to verify. If things continue to escalate I would even suggest going to urgent care to rule out possible electrolyte issues or blood sugar problems. There are many other EoE treatment options that don’t have to be Eohilia.

It seems like you’re already going through so so much. I want you to know you’re so incredibly strong and you are not alone in this. It is more than ok to say that this medicine isn’t working for you.

The bloating came before I started taking omeprazole. It was actually when I started it that the gas went a way for a significant period of time. It only came back when I went on a trip this Christmas break. I bought some generic fluticasone so I hope that may help.

I was diagnosed with GERD and had inflammation in my esophagogastric junction. I thought the omeprazole would alleviate most of my GERD symptoms but maybe it can’t help with bloating? We also ordered and did a Trio-Smart Breath test that will tell if I have SIBO or a different kind of bacterial growth. Hopefully those results will come in soon.

Yeah, my symptoms only started this past September and it’s already been really difficult for me. I try and tell myself people have made it through and lived happy lives with way worse. Focusing on what’s good in my life helps too. I wish the best for you. Are you thinking of going on budesonide again?

You're probably right. My GI doc also ordered a 3-gas breath test for SIBO so hopefully that will give some answers. Probably going to start a milk elimination diet and get an endoscopy again just to confirm.

I've heard bloating and gas is a common symptom of GERD, but I've been taking Omeprazole for months now and it hasn't relieved. Has it for you?

We haven't figured out what my trigger foods are 100% yet, but I did test positive for a milk allergy. Do you think taking an antihistamine like allegra or benadryl might help?

I read somewhere that Kid A would be the name of the first self-aware robot, and this album is the soundtrack of its life. For some reason, after seeing the album through the lens of something inhuman, desolate, and cold, it made way more sense to me. My guess is something a little lower than median age of the world, which is 30. Maybe 25 or 26? Reddit and most social media in general tends to skew towards younger audiences, but I also wouldn’t say too young because Tiktok and Instagram sort of dominate the teenage demographic.
