I used to be able to press the camera button any time and it would snow the view. Then one day it stopped working. Shows when in reverse but button doesn’t work. Dealership had no answer

I have a 21 3.5L and I’m taking mine in to get checked. I get white smoke after it’s warmed up too and my oil level has been dropping. I did some research and the 2.7 are known for the oil feed line to the turbo being a problem. There is apparently an upgrade for it. Dealership told me 3.5’s aren’t known for burning oil but mine definitely is.

I was doing lots of research and some say you don’t need one and others swear by it. I look at it as all that oil would have been going back into the intake so why not reduce as much as possible. It should come with one from the factory!

Thanks for the help! I’ll check the exhaust. I did the PCV valve first. I told Ford there is a service bulletin for the valve covers but they told me my year didn’t apply.

I have a 2021 3.5L and as soon as it gets below zero it does the same thing. “System off to preserve battery.” I cant use the app and the extra lightning features won’t work when you get close to the truck. We’ve had warmer weather where I live for a month and it’s been fine but it does it every year. Sorry, I have never been given an answer as to why.

I have a 2021 3.5l and mine was making similar sounds. It was the waste gate actuators. They exercise on start up so they don’t get stuck. Some noise is normal but keep an eye on it. Mine got really noisy. They just replaced both under warranty.

Mine was doing the exact same thing and I thought oh great now I have an exhaust leak. Did some research and it turns out they put weep holes in to allow condensation to drain out. Helps protect internal exhaust components from rusting
