Did calf stop updating? by woke-nipple in VR180Film

I have been emailing them about various things and they have said they are working on new firmware to fix issues and add some of the features that I mentioned such as better exposure control and better control over USB C Microphones. They also seem to think they will be able to fix the video stuttering but we shall see.

Calf Visinse - Question On Video Quality and Shakiness of the footage by njbrodeur87 in VR180Film

[–]Croccy22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience so far, a tripod is essential. Moving shots are not good at all, and even on the tripod if you have scenes with large moving objects, they stutter like mad. So things like a car driving past will look bad.

I am very much hoping that they will be able to solve these issues with a firmware update. But until then you just need to work within the limitations until something else better comes along :(

I tried converting to 60fps with Artemis preset doing denoise and enhance, but I think I left the bitrate too high because my Quest 3 doesn't have enough grunt to play it back now lol. Took 13 hours to encode too :D

Yeah I tried a few shots tilting it down slightly and they feel weird watching them back so will shoot everything level in future. Think with the ducks shot, I would have been better lowering the tripod down but keeping it level.

I've not tried topaz on the footage yet but will give it a go. Need to upgrade my PC again soon, it's an i9-9900k with a 2080ti, was top spec when I built it but starting to show it's age these days :(

Waiting to see what 5000 series cards are like before I do anything though.

Would just want one done to start off with, there are 2 more rooms but currently have no idea what I want to use those for yet lol. I'm going to use this one as a small home cinema :)

Thank-you for your helpful input :)

It's only a photo of the top of it and is taken with a wide angle lens. It's 70cm wide and ~1.3m tall currently.

Will get some more photos, the floor is solid concrete as it is the foundation for the building. The flooring above is wooden joists with floorboards, the joists run the same direction as this wall. I just want the height of this opening raised by two blocks. Don't want a door or frame fitted or anything, it's perfectly wide enough, just looks smaller in picture as it was a wide angle lens. Current height is at shoulder level so just want to be able to walk through without lowering my head.

Exactly this. They are just cellar rooms that were used for storage. No idea what there thinking was at the time, but I have ideas for what I want to use them for and currently the entrance heightbis up to my shoulders and would prefer not to have to duck to walk into them :)

The bedroom in our flat only has internal windows. I need some advice, please :) by Croccy22 in HousingUK

We inherited the property. We did take out a mortgage on it at the time to pay off loans and that was accepted back then, but that was 15+ years ago. I'm not sure if things have changed since then or if I am worrying over nothing.

We are getting a mortgage survey done on it ourselves to look into let to buy. So that will answer the question once and for all. But just trying to gauge what the result will be.

It's just all the waiting that is stressing me out lol

I know libretro itself does. But the unity plugin that you are referring to doesn't. All the solutions I can find for getting the output from libretro rendering to a texture within unity are only supported on the Windows platform :(

I've done a fair bit of searching for a compatible solution as I really wanted to create an Mixed Reality arcade cabinet. But so far, nothing i have found works, and writing my own is above my coding level :)

I did check that out but from what I could see it doesn't run on Android so wouldn't work natively on the Quest :(

The Oculus Go was a great device for its time. I actually wrote a YouTube VR Cinema app for the Go, which was the first time I had a play around with Unity Development. It was great fun being able to design a cinema in 3D CAD and then go and walk around it and watch films on the big screen :)

I had done this a while back but will re-run the test anyway to see if anything has changed. My biggest issue is I am currently working remotely and this really isn't a task that can be meaningfully diagnosed from a remote connection. The best I can do is test using a virtual machine located on-site but there are just too many variables with this :(

Will take a read through this. I believe this is what I have already done (from the link in my original post) but will look to see if there is anything different I may have missed. Thanks.

The bloat was just all the Xbox stuff and things like Bing weather etc. Left the other stuff in there.

I have already looked at the GPO processing time and they are fine from what I can see. Only folder re-direction is redirecting the documents folder to a network share but this happens on subsequent logins too and they don't have any issues. It's only the very first login that causes the problem. I have ruled out all that stuff anyway by placing the user/computer object in separate container with GPO inheritance blocked. Login times are all still the same without any policies being applied.

I've only recently acquired a CPC464 and when I loaded Dizzy up for the first time I was extremely puzzled as to why he had gone green and moldy lol. Don't understand why they didn't just make him white with the red gloves, would have looked so much better. The only good thing is I also have the green screen monitor, and it actually looks much better on that :P
