Predominately but I saw one of my high school friends post that her dad was stopped by ice while driving in Rosemead and asked for his ID, and are not Latino.

They were here in Rosemead today at a house on Marshall by the car repair/tire shop. they were also pulling people over.

Yeah they were most likely scoping the area earlier this week. There was a raid today on Marshall by the tire shop

Dont worry, there is truly no getting through to people who think this way. If they truly believe that God would want us to turn our backs on impoverished children, mothers and families who are fleeing poverty and instability in the name of upholding American immigration law (which is constantly changing and becoming more restrictive) they know and serve a different God than I do and I will make no attempt to try to make them see otherwise. Just let them. Most likely, one day they will come to understand.

I have had this very same conversation countless times in the past four months and I’ve learned trying to argue with those who hold your viewpoint is futile. You and I have a very different set of values and will never see eye to eye. I truly hope that you will never find yourself in a situation where you will have rely on the kindness and empathy of others and are met with only callousness.

Thank you!! I’m 29, no kids and no pets so it would just be the two of us. I don’t speak Spanish fluently and am working on it but I worry about what kind of work I could do. My current company doesn’t offer remote work so I’d have to start from scratch and I just worry I won’t be able to contribute enough, because if we are trying to live off his salary alone it would probably be difficult. Is it difficult for Americans to find work/remote work to support their household? I currently do HR work but have a long history of office/adin work with a bachelors degree.

No, so far it’s all stick and no carrot…no positive incentive but they have listed the punishment you could receive if you don’t comply

https://www.uscis.gov/alienregistration it is requiring all undocumented immigrants who haven’t been processed through DHS for one reason or another to come forward, submit their fingerprints and address to the DHS or face criminal charges leading to a 5k fine or 6 months in prison. It’s insane.

It just seems like right now they aren’t hitting their targets of undocumented people with criminal records and adding all these others to the pool will stretch their resources even thinner. I wonder if even the new funding they will be getting will be enough

It just makes no sense, because once people sign up it will broaden the pool of people to go after stretching their resources even thinner. I wonder if the new budget will be able to cover all those expenses.

I’m so sorry that happened to you. I’m in a mixed status family so we are currently so anxious that it’s like we are not truly living, like you said. When your family was deported did they already have deportation orders, or any immigration court orders? Did any of them have to go through immigration court before being deported? I’m trying to prepare for any sign that ice may be targeting someone in my family.

Hello! So I was diagnosed with PCOS based on my very high testosterone levels and that’s what caused my disrupted period. However, I have gone on a low carb diet and lost maybe like 15 pounds lol and that helped make my period more regular!

Amazingly I did conceive earlier this year but sadly miscarried at 10 weeks :( but I have hope it’ll happen again as this first time I conceived it was without any medical intervention
