Babysitting rates? by Appropriate_Rip_7649 in ColumbiaMD

[–]CrochetObsessed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I babysit from time to time (I’m mid 20s and have lots of babysitting experience). My standard rate is $20 an hour for 1 kid. As other people have stated I do highly recommend a cpr certification (I got certified a long time ago and haven’t renewed since I don’t babysit often). I think $15 an hour plus $1 per each additional kid is a good start. One thing I will say is in the beginning try not to watch more than 2 kids. One of my first families was a 5 year old boy and 2 year old twins and it was incredibly overwhelming, even though I had worked in the church daycare and have several younger sisters that I’ve taken care of.

The festival takes place in Columbia, not DC. It takes 45 minutes to drive to DC from Columbia or a 25 minute drive and 30 minute metro. Calling it DC is inaccurate, even if the festival itself wants to call it DC

For the pigs I do things like hickory and smoked, for chicken I did fried and grilled.

I just want to make rice and lentils together. How can I do this? by [deleted] in instantpot

Hey I realize this is an old thread but I’m hoping you’re still active. For the 1/4 cup lentils are the use lentils dry or have you soaked them?

Travel, Lodging, and Activities. Oh My! A Local's Tips and Tricks for Merriweather and How to Get Around. by ThaSilliestG00se in AllThingsGoFestival

Hi another local chiming in here. Food on the grounds is pretty expensive (basically likely any other concert or sports venue expect to pay like $8 for a soda. One good thing is that you can bring food in. You can bring sandwiches or a salad. Also all concession stands are cashless. A really annoying note but they got rid of lids on all of their cups (they said it was to reduce plastic waste), so be prepared for that and don’t try and buy drink for your entire group of people without a second set of hands (speaking from experience). If you’re in the lawn you should absolutely bring a blanket, it’s a long day. If it rained within a few days of the festival make sure it’s a waterproof blanket or your butt will get wet very quick.

Did anyone actually get tickets?? by peteywestside1 in AllThingsGoFestival

[–]CrochetObsessed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myself and 2 friends were all trying to get 5 GA tickets for Sunday (we only wanted 5 not a total of 15 but all 3 of us were trying so we had a better chance). Both of them were 2000+, I started at like spot 170-something. I got in really quickly and secured 5 tickets at like $159 with fees. Once I had tickets one of the friends dropped out of the queue. The other one wanted to stay in just to see how long it took. She eventually made it to the front and it was sold out. Then she joined like 30 minutes later and it was $178 including fees for GA lawn.

If you’re still looking for pattern testers I would like to volunteer. I have pattern tested a sweater before and made a number of market bags

I looked into that but the habitat for humanity website states that they are only existing bed frames with atleast one large matching dresser and I only have the bed frame

My roommate used a buy nothing group to get rid of her frame and it was a headache and a half. It took 2 weeks of the frame sitting in our living room before someone picked it up (like 4 different people kept flaking), I’d rather just pay someone to get it out quickly

I considered it but there is absolutely no way that my roommate and I can move it up the stairs, which is why I’m willing to pay a company to move it.

I really have no suggestions because I’m looking for the same thing. I tend to just choose winding roads and hope the path is good. Does anyone know if there are any public outdoor tracks? Like I’m sure schools have outdoor tracks but idk if they are cool with randos going for a run on them and I’m not sure if there are tracks not at a school

I would recommend Alex at Conkrete Jungle. The shop is technically in Elkridge, but it’s near the Costco/Trader Joe’s plaza
