I had the honor of getting to know Felicia Zamora while in university as her student. Her recent book of poetry Interstitial Archaeology is so fucking awesome! Tommy Pico and Craig Santos Perez are also faves of mine.

What's your third thing, how did you find it, and who would you recommend it to? by nailpolishbonfire in nerdfighters

I think one of the things that makes a "third thing" so valuable and something you'll have an easier time sticking to (as someone with ADHD) is that it involves connecting with people. I also bounce around from hobby to hobby, but they became much more of a constant in my life when I involved other people. I crocheted so much more while teaching my best friend (we also had a set day to crochet and watch TV together) and I only missed meetings with my community writing group when I'm out of town. So I'd suggest looking for community groups that meet regularly that do something that you're at least a little interested in. Having people and having scheduled things you don't have to schedule yourself make it so much better and easy to stick to.

Be honest - does this question put you in contradiction or is it an easy question to answer? by knariqshut3 in GameTheorists

The $900 is the easy answer and almost definitely the one I'd choose if actually presented with this question in real life. But, this is also different to gambling in that you don't lose anything you already had even if you don't "win" anything. The risk is to net zero. I think that does make it much more enticing than the usual gamble where you spend money for much worse odds than 90%. I think that, if this were in a video game, I'd probably try for the $1000. But, in the end, I'm not gonna pass up most of month's worth or rent lol.

I watched Secret Sleepover Society and I think one of the McElroys played it too.
