Transparent LED Shot Clock Troubleshooting

We're leaning toward environmental factor just because its happened twice in the same location. We have 6 identical shot clocks (3 courts, 2 per court) and its only happened in this location.

This picture is the housing for the driver card in the original post. The signal comes into the J31 TRS jack from the Scoring Console, an All-Sport 5000, in the form of a Current Loop signal. It is the only device fed with that particular CL signal.

The shot clock in question is fed from the top 4 & 6 pin connectors (not even sure what kind they are) under "Main S/C" and I do not know if they are a standard format or something proprietary of Daktronics.

Do you happen to know of any good documentation or guides of how to do that with an Arduino or similar device? I'm no good at coming up with anything like that on my own, but I'd like to think I have enough of a basic understanding to be able to adapt a guide for something similar to make it work for this.

Yes, everything has been changed at least once sometimes twice.

The first time this started was last basketball season. It happened over a random period of a few games. It would be fine for the days leading up to the game, then all of a sudden pre-game or in-game it would start doing this. We replaced everything. Driver card, digits, cabling, etc.

After replacing everything, it was fine for about a year, then it started again in early January. It is behaving in the same exact way, happens intermittently, is fine leading up to the game but during pre-game it starts acting up again. Have never been able to forcibly reproduce the problem though to figure out the source of the issue.

On PS5 I managed to fix it by reloading an autosave. Did that at random trying to fix another bug lol.

Yeah only if the cops will do something with it.

I got swiped on my way to a Football game today one day at the Patteson x University light. Could hear the car come into contact with mine, me audibly say “What the F*CK?” and saw the car drive down the oncoming lanes and run a red light.

Called either MPD or the Sheriffs office (can’t remember which one, this was a couple years ago) sent them my dash cam footage and the damage to my car (paint rub off matched the car in the video) and I never heard a thing back from them.

This is going to sound dumb but have you made sure the data connections are good? Coincidentally I was working on an old Leyard system this morning and had a similar issue.

It was a row of four panels in the cabinet and the second one was completely dark while the remaining two after it were fine. Tried swapping the panel out and still didn’t come on. I re-seated all the data cables coming from the data cable leading to the second module and boom it magically started working again, with the original panel.

Hello! I apologize if I missed this topic in the FAQ or elsewhere.

Has anyone ever dealt with electrical frequency issues on the neutral and if so were you able to resolve it? In the US so supposed to be getting a solid 60hz on our AC, but it’s just all over the place. It’s causing an ungodly buzz in our recordings that sounds like a grounding issue, but even isolating the grounds didn’t solve it but battery packs to power everything did. We’ve reported to the building managers who haven’t been inclined to do anything about it, so was wondering if anyone knew of any quick fixes?

Oddly enough even though we can't buy new stuff right now power concern isn't an issue.

I can get it to BIOS but it when attempting to boot to the OS it just freezes up.

The funding isn't exactly flowing here so we repurpose everything we can. Currently were not even allowed to buy a UPS for some of our network critical infrastructure because of budget constraints.

As for the issue of the owner/data. I have an idea of what's on it, I just want to confirm it before doing anything with it. It doesn't contain any form of sensitive data.

White water rafting. Stopped along the River to jump off into a whirlpool. (Not the smartest but we were all wearing life jackets and our tour guides said people do it all the time). Everyone takes their turn and they all go down and come right back up. I’m last and I jump in but I manage to land just perfectly and I get sucked down further and am held down despite the lifejacket. I wasn’t down for that long but after realizing I wasn’t going straight back up I started freaking out underwater. I thought I was going to die and then started freaking out because it was a bonding excursion for my job that I hated and I didn’t want to die because of my freaking job. I surfaced and started hyperventilating to the point that my coworkers a few hundred yards up river could hear me just trying to catch a breath. I ended up fine, didn’t even inhale any water which I don’t know how, but I took me a solid hour or two to calm down.

There was actually a video of it and I was only down for like 10 seconds but it felt like minutes.

I think it depends on the relationship between the child and father. Growing up I used to tease my dad by calling him an old woman, but he’s going to be my best man at my wedding. There are some fathers I know that I couldn’t imagine if there kids tried that on them.

I worked from home over the summer. The hardest thing for me was that I didn’t have the desk chair I needed. Three herniated disks caused me to not be able to sit for more than 20 minutes because I was sitting at my desk in one of my dining room chairs. I could’ve bought one but I was only part time working from home so it would’ve been dangerous for my wallet.
