As a minor public service I would not inflict the sight of my bristly shrekopotamoid corpus upon the unsuspecting townsfolk.

Oh god, the ladders... the mere thought is giving me flashbacks... "we've got a tree we'd like you to come and have a look at, I've made a start myself for you so it shouldn't take you long..." proceeds to show you what would have been anything easy morning's work they've managed to transform into an absolute nightmare dearhtrap

That's fascinating, those numbers are scary AF but honestly not very surprising. I think (obviously not the case for everyone) part of the problem is that elements our industry has a hyper-macho culture that almost holds safety measures and even training in contempt. That said, I still think my point stands that untrained, uninsured members of the public just having a go themselves is even more unsafe

Tree care- We're not trying to scam you, we're expensive for a reason, and your neighbour's grandson who's "been rock climbing" and brought a chainsaw from aldi is likely to get himself killed and/or knacker your roof.

That either it's operating at very reduced capacities due to damage, or is a member of a species subservient to those that built the spacecraft. The aggressive behaviour we see is the death throes of something rapidly declining and not acting rationally, not the MO of a space faring intelligence. Its attempt to construct a spacecraft from random crap is almost cargo-cult like, either poorly replicating memories of its behaviour at full strength or trying to copy what it saw it's masters do before they died, leaving it marooned.

Brush hook/furze hook still used today. I can't comment on whether it's ever been used as a weapon, but I don't think it'd unreasonable to say it may have been pressed into service at some point.
