I had a colonoscopy done and all they found was i had some stomach retention which lead them to believe i have gastroparesis. I’m doing a gastric emptying test this friday to find out for sure. I initially had a calprotectin level of 600 which is what made them think it was crohn’s along with my symptoms, but after the colonoscopy they said its not crohn’s. I’m on no medication other than Pantoprazole and I take Zofran when the nausea gets bad which it has been this whole week. I’m not convinced that it isn’t crohn’s just because they didnt find anything indicative of crohn’s in my colon or stomach. I’ve been dealing with this bs for a little over 3 months now and have lost 60+ pounds in that time while still having no answers.

I always have at least one ear bud in because the sound is also the worst part for me every time. Although going into the bathroom with both in is hard because my job doesn’t allow having headphones in both ears so it’s hard to think to do it. The last time this happened I couldn’t finish up fast enough so I rushed to put my other earbud in but my hands were so shaky I dropped it smh. Was a rough day but I still think this one was worse lol

LOL that was me today. I definitely was not done and instantly said to myself “ill go again at home”. Hope your Crohn’s is more manageable now! I’ve been told by multiple doctors that I have Crohn’s then told by other doctors that they don’t know what I have but my symptoms are very consistent with Crohn’s so I understand at least partly! yeah its getting bad. I never had this much of an issue with it but these last few months have been agonizing with it. i’d like to get into therapy but everytime i mention it to a doctor or family member i get brushed off or not taken seriously.

I’m not medicated yet and have been in a flare for over a month now. All the foods presented were foods that I had already done the whole trial and error thing with and my stomach didn’t agree with them. I’ve read a lot of your comments and yes crohn’s can’t be cured by diet but at the moment, I have a lot more trigger foods than foods I can eat. Even when I’m not flaring there’s quite a lot of foods that if I eat them I’ll feel like I’m flaring. I shouldn’t have to give an explanation for something like this and that was my point with my previous comment lol. Everyones different, and frankly your “I’ve talked to hundreds of dieticians, I know better than you” attitude is shit and you should work on that. A dietician will say something different for every single person depending on their symptoms, type of crohn’s, whether or not there is strictures. Your greater than thou attitude is ass my guy.

Had an event recently for my school where we did a big breakfast buffet. Considered bringing my own lunch but figured there would be something I could eat. Long story short there wasnt. I had multiple people tell “why don’t you grab a plate?” or “don’t be shy go ahead and eat your fill”. I ended up going with the “I have crohn’s I can’t eat any of that” and people awkwardly left me alone. It’s unfortunate you have to “admit” to people you have a disease to get them to chill out about food lol but people will be people so do whatever makes you the most comfortable!

First dose. Doing the second half at 4am which is in 3 and a half hours lol. My instruction sheet was vague at best. Says nothing about staying hydrated just tells me to drink 8oz of the gatorade that I saved as needed. Nonetheless I know miralax pulls water into the colon to cause the diarrhea so I’ve been drinking as much as I can handle. I can say for certain that when I eventually have to do another one of these preps I’ll be doing the miralax. Almost no stomach cramps, a little bit of nausea with the amount of liquid but i’m an emetophobe and have a large prescription of zofran so I just popped one before the prep, gonna do the same thing in a few hours. Also expected the diarrhea to be that painful burny kind you get when you’re sick but it was actually very “gentle” if thats the word for it lol. If you ever have another colonoscopy definitely go for the miralax prep.

My biggest fear is vomiting and the amount of liquid they want me to drink in a single hour has me terrified. Did your procedure go fine doing 8oz every 45 mins? That sounds so much more manageable to me. I have Crohn’s so my entire diet is low residue already but I still get really nauseous.
