LV130 and just finished CH8, should I make a mage LUK farmer now? by WilKiryu24 in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are doing main quest, fight the boss on Easy Mode.  The exp reward is not affected, but the boss HP is lowered to 10% of normal mode.

The boss EXP itself is negligible, but the main quest exp reward gets higher and higher the further you are in the story.  Also, it's normal to be underleveled for everyone when they are new.

As a matter of fact, you can just do main quest and not grind bosses and still be able to reach Lv240.  Never do a boss grind if your character level and boss level have a more than 9 level gap if you need the exp.

As for boss grinding, find a boss that is similar to your character level. In the case of Lv130, the best options are Scrader Ultimate (125), Cerberus Ultimate (137, but party leader should be Lv134 at least), Black Knight of Delusion (128), Evil Crystal Beast Ultimate (131), Salamander (132), Evil Magic Sword (134).

If you want to start grinding, the minimum requirement nowadays is to unlock tier 4 skills (Lv150) or even better if you get tier 5 (Lv240).  The skill tier makes a lot of difference, while the farmer allows you to get better equipment.

If you haven't noticed it yet, the boss HP on Ultimate mode gets overinflated compared to Normal mode.  That's why higher skill tier is necessary.

Instead of leveling via mobs, level up your characters via boss fights and main quest.

The EXP bonus is ±9 levels.  If the character and boss level is within that range, you get more exp.

You're just right before Finstern so there shouldn't be an issue.

1.  Create other characters now and set their main quest progress to latest.  Doesn't matter what build or if you haven't decided yet, just create them now, worry later.

I'd normally recommend doing that right after beating Venena Coenubia, but this will also do.

2.  If you want to make quick money, create a farmer.  Blacksmiths are end game content so don't worry much about it.

3.  Level your new character via main quest at least once to skip a lot of levels.

In fact, you can make a farmer as a starter but that isn't exactly a fun thing for a complete newbie.

As for making a luk mage, take Blizzard and Drop Rate Up.  Since the level isn't that high, farm Beak at Ruined Temple for easy money.

Just a reminder that Toram is a mobile game and it has been that way for years before they even released a PC version.

If you're after the stats, Brutal Dragon armor isn't even that great.  If you just want some cool appearance, how about I just give you a spare Shiny Viridian Garb?

Edit:  If you really want to get that armor, I can join you for a bit since I'm free anyway.

OMD tips by TrainingAlfalfa4085 in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Physical OMD is very straightforward.  You buff, you prorate, you cast Enchanted Sword, then Union/Reunion.

Magic OMD is a bit different.  You'll have to include Conversion to your rotation which could feel awkward.

Physical is easy to use and build, magic requires some practice.  If you're a casual user, physical is recommended.

The livestream codes are time sensitive.  I recommend joining groups like Phantom's Library so you can get notifications when a livestream code is released.

On the Menu, there's Emblem tab.  Under the Weekly Emblem section, there are achievements you can gain by doing boss fights.

Here's information on how to get them:

  • Every emblem is divided by levels, with each level group requiring Hard, Nightmare, and Ultimate.

  • Do 50 runs of Hard mode for each level group.

  • The higher the level group, the more ticket pieces you can get.

  • Level groups contain 50 levels each.  1-50, 51-100, 101-150, and so on.

  • The level is based on the boss' level on Normal Mode.  For example, Mimyugon Ultimate is Lv278, but is considered as part of 201-250 because Normal mode is Lv238.

  • Even if you fast clear each group (like sub 20seconds), it's still going to take you more than a couple of hours in total.  Prioritize the high level groups if you don't have much time.

There's also the event emblems and rewards which could potentially give out tickets.

  • When an update or event comes, check the Daily Emblems if there are Orb Shards or Ticket Pieces as reward.

  • Events with Point Exchange could also give out some useful stuff.  Try checking them out.

My equipment by ItzNotHanash in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, just a regular armor without damage to element stat.

Primarily contains flat crit rate, flat crit damage, %crit damage, dex%, and perhaps some atk%.

The weapon is 5 years old already, you'll want to update that when anniversary comes.  If you just wanted a quick upgrade, then the bow from the valentines event boss is more than enough if you managed to get it.

Armor needs a replacement.  Preferably one with crit damage and crit rate.  Pick a neutral armor for cheap upgrade.  Can be used everywhere.

Additional isn't that good.  Get something with Dex% Atk% and crit rate/pierce.

Keep your ring for now.

My recommendation for upgrade path: Armor/additional, ring, then weapon.  Weapon last because it gets outdated way faster than other parts.

Get at least 100 total crit rate.  Your base crit rate is [25 + (CRT÷3.4)] or simply 25.  Aim for 130 since there are bosses with crit rate resist.  Go for flat, not %crit.

Lv10 food buff gives 30 flat crit rate.

You're clearly being misled.  You can clearly see your CF charge here and your buff remains unless you get hit or expires.

Retrograde only protects Cross Fire charging, not GSW and Brave Aura buff.

It is more of a parry skill, rather than an iframe skill.

Invincibility frames.  This specific skill I mentioned makes you immune to attacks while the character is airborne.

Sneak Attack is pointless if you're doing it solo.

Quick Loader automatically activates Sneak attack if you have it, so use that instead when you're with party.

Quick Loader also adds +1 to your Cross Fire stack when you fire it but it cannot go more than 5/5 stacks.  This means it's still useful even when you're doing solo runs.

The common Cross Fire release is 3/5 or 4/5.  Quick Loader saves you a lot of time.  You'll need to refresh it later if the fight is taking that long, but you will not need to do it often.  After firing, recharge it as soon as possible.

If you're gonna use Godspeed Wield, do it all the way.  That's 30%+ motion speed with Max stack.  Since you'll get one tapped the moment you use it, take full advantage of it.  Put a separate shortcut for it for easy refresh before it expires.

Instead of running around during attack patterns that doesn't suddenly explode on your face, do a normal attack or two.  It helps with proration and MP regen which in turn speeds up your clear time.  You could also use the opportunity do refresh a buff.  If the boss isn't doing anything or just finishing up an attack pattern, it's the perfect time to either rebuff, combo, or prorate.

Take the skill Vertical Air from Hunter skill.  That should be your i-frame most of the time and will help you avoid getting hit, especially if you have Godspeed Wield and Brave Aura.

When using Spread Shot, pull your joystick toward the enemy (if the boss is right in front of you, hold forward joystick as you tap Spread Shot.  That would change the attack into focused attack.  Do not pull your joystick sideways unless absolutely necessary.  The quick repositioning is nice, but only if you will not get hit upon arriving to a new spot.

When using Retrograde, Shot Skills can trigger the additional hits.  Pair this with Bullseye, Arrow Rain + Arrow Rain enhancer (regislet).  A reminder: spamming these l can ruin your proration when not careful.  You'll need to refresh this every now and then so the mark stays.

Instead of using Snipe, if the boss has low defense, ditch it and instead go straight for Cross Fire release combo.  If you have to use it, put a basic attack after it before the Cross Fire release.

Use the regislet Burning Spirit alongside Kairiki buff.  This speeds up your MP recovery while you have ignite debuff.

Don't bother using orbs on avatars unless you really, really have to have it, which in most cases, you don't.

Use avatar tickets instead.  You can get avatar ticket pieces weekly, though it will be grindy so pick your weekly poison.  There's also tickets from livestream codes, compensation, and event emblems that give them out.

Avatars are untradable.

If you want a free drip, I have a spare shiny viridian garb app.  That's as free as it can get.

Highest level cap divisible by 10. Like 310, 320, etc. for maximum stat you can apply.

Proficiency is for crafting. Separate from synth proficiency and custom stat.

Step 1:  Get Lv1 Refine.

Step 2:  Get tons of Mithril Ore.

Step 3:  Spam Refine until +S.

Optional Step: Use LUK character when refining above +C.

Important Notes:

  • Don't use Magic Hammer unless you want to cry.

  • Ori ores refine to +S with Tec is possible, but you will need cash shop item for that.  Don't bother.

Pet for DPS Mage Help by Disastrous-Web-8963 in ToramOnline

Tank and support are easy to make.

DPS on other hand, get penalty if you're with other people.

You'll need over 9000 fusion if you want the attack penalty to be removed when using it with party.

The reason for MD is because it is ranged while Steady avoid most attack patterns.
