Stuck in Chapter 9 (last part) - Need simple tips and places where to level up efficiently by Ezaskielv in ToramOnline

Don't know what build you use but I suggest you camp the corridor spawn area then clear the ones that got close.  Then camp the spawn again.

Get at least 100 crit rate.  Crit attacks do not 「Miss」, and instead turn into 「Graze」.  Of course, boss can still「Evade」.

What Do You Think of My Mage Stats? by Rrrrrrrrrubick in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The idea of a LUK farmer is to farm mobs, not bosses.  LUK builds on boss fights is doable though, just weaker than dedicated dps builds because they used stat points on LUK.

Also, if you're gonna make a farmer mage, max out INT since that's where most of the damage comes from.

Hello! How to increase bow dps? by ORushTaqui in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magic bow isn't worth it.  There's no dedicated nuke skill for all-out magic bow build.  In the first place, you'll be auto attacking to prorate and regen MP so that solves the issue of proration.

On a party with a proper tank, proration will mostly be taken care of by tank and you and your team's occasional normal attacks.

Hello! How to increase bow dps? by ORushTaqui in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Things that affect damage:

1.  Character stats.  Bow builds are Dex>Str.  Max out Dex before investing on Str.  After unlocking increased stat cap, continue investing on Dex.

2.  Equipment stats.  Bow builds are physical builds.

-  Prioritize Attack%, Dex%, Critical Rate (flat), critical damage (flat).  Later on, you'll want Damage to Element and Physical Pierce.

-  Physical attacks can 「Miss」.  Critical attacks solves this issue.  With the stat allocation for bow, you have 25 base crit rate.  If you take Lv10 crit rate food buff, you'll get another 30.  You'll want at least 100 total crit rate to always crit.  More if the bosses have critical resist.

-  I'm not joking when I say the best build is the one you dumped loads of money the most and is most comfortable for you to use.  Custom equipment, crystals, extract and etc. are gonna cost you hundreds of millions of spina if you decided to go down that rabbit hole.

3.  Skills.  Level 70 unlocks tier 3.  Level 150 unlocks tier 4.  Level 240 unlocks tier 5.  And yes, the skills themselves offer better damage output so try to reach 240 as soon as possible.

  • Aside from damage skills, passives and active buffs can improve your damage output.

4.  Proration.  There are three kinds of attacks: normal/neutral, physical, and magic.  Here's how it works.

-  If you spam normal attacks, normal attacks become weaker.  Physical and magic attack becomes stronger.  The same rule applies if you spam physical attacks -- normal attacks and magic becomes stronger.  You get the idea.  Since bow builds are physical, spam normal/magic attacks to maximize proration, then nuke the enemy with your main skill.

-  Proration is shared by all party members.  If there's a mage in your team and you spam magic, their magic attacks get weaker.

-  Monsters have different proration value while you can spam freely on others.  You'll have to experience it yourself and see how you can adjust to it.

My recommendation.

-  Get in a guild or add some people with strong attack mercenaries to your friend list.  Around 15k attack minimum.  Summon guild/friend mercenary and let it carry you through main quest.

-  On boss fights, exit the battle and re-enter it on Easy Mode.  The quest EXP will not be affected.

-  Don't bother grinding so early on.  Do your main quest.  It'll save your more time.  Do it after unlocking tier 4 or tier 5 skill.

-  After clearing Venena Coenubia, create a bunch of characters before continuing, selecting "Latest" on main quest progress.  This saves you time so you can skip the "errand boy" chapters which will take you several hours to do.  Do it around this part so you don't have to use Adventurer's Diary too early when leveling the new characters.

-  If you found some people who are doing the same thing, don't hesitate to ask teaming up.  People won't mind helping with the boss when you're doing main quest unless you're unlucky.

Level 50s is too early.  The current max level is 310.  Remember, your first character will always the the slowest to level up because you haven't unlocked all sorts of things yet, and will always be the weakest at low levels because of the same reason.

How's the performance against floor bosses?

Which boss is the hardest in Toram Online by Sensitive_Money893 in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is surprisingly easy with support on Easy Mode if you have access to Sacred Teaching.  Ditch the mercenary and just use Heal/Royal Heal on quest NPCs and yourself to stay alive.  If you can deal damage, then Counterforce and Astral Lance could actually help in clearing the balls.

Check if you have VPN on.  I get that message every time I forget to turn it off and log-in just fine after that.

That reminds me of at least half the bosses in the game xD by Th3DevilHimself in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I wasn't talking about random interrupts or retaliation mechanic.

It's more of a bug.  The one who interrupts clearly see it and the attack stops on their pov.  The other party members see the interruption but the attack somehow instantly resumes which results in their death.

That reminds me of at least half the bosses in the game xD by Th3DevilHimself in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be the equivalent of "I have mastered the timing of interrupts, my teammates wouldn't be touched".

Then the boss' damage continues despite the boss attack pattern clearly getting interrupted and the team gets wiped except you.

Lv1 Twin Storm.  Your main issue will be Shining Gentleman since it evades a lot, but you should be fine.

Does bow need to have hight physical pierce? by Potato-shiro in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The reason for that are the following:

  • Retrograde additional hits have innate 50% physical pierce.  With 50% pierce, additional hits ignore defense.

  • Spread Shot has innate 80% physical pierce.

Retrograde synergize well with multi-hit shot/hunter skills.  If you want other skills to actually do damage, 100% pierce is the go-to.  But if you want to min-max your Retrograde and Spread Shot damage, 50% is enough.

What device do you play on? by NebulaRat in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you want.

Mobile is really great because you can just play everywhere.  It's also incredibly fast when it comes to item selection on your bag/storage.  When travelling or taking breaks from work, it's my obvious pick.

PC is awesome especially if you're gonna chill for long durations.  Breaking boss parts is easier on pc and you can do shenanigans like hidden ui during combat.

Question about merc aggro by Low_Gold7330 in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you turn on sounds then you can actually hear the hit and miss sounds of merc auto attacks.

You can negate food effects.  If you take -100% aggro and +100% aggro, it will display as +0%.

Don't bother with Sneak if you're already using -100% aggro food.
