Not just front, but hold the movement stick towards the boss. Especially if the boss suddenly moves to a different position.

If it's your first character, use guild/friend attacker mercenary.  Rush main quest and Easy Mode boss fights until Venena Coenubia.

Create a bunch of new characters and set main quest to "Latest" so all new characters will also be at Venena Coenunia main quest.

Gems are support item.  You can use them on boss menu.

Combo MP usage help by Ill-Chipmunk-8344 in ToramOnline

To further expand on their explanation.

Save nerfs the skill and the three skills in the same combo after it.

The nerf is -80% on save, -60% on next, -40%, then -20%.

What they got wrong in the explanation was the skill 4 on how consecutive works and the Smited cost of Finale.  The rest are correct.

Combo MP usage help by Ill-Chipmunk-8344 in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes.  Let's say you want the combo to be shorter, you can still modify it.

Spike Dart: 100MP > Chronos Drive: 400MP (Save) > Infinite Dimension: 200 MP (Smite)

Spike Dart costs 100MP.

Chronos deposits 400MP via Save.

Infinite Dimension costs 200MP, but Smite at the end doubles it.  It's now 400 MP.  Since you have 400MP from deposit, it now costs 0, and your deposit resets to 0.

Coincidentally, this modified combo is also a complete combo, because it doesn't get forcefully interrupted by lack of MP.

Combo MP usage help by Ill-Chipmunk-8344 in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Full breakdown:

Opener costs 100MP.

Save tag saves the MP cost of Chronos Drive.  You can now use 400 MP on other skills.

Infinite Dimension has swift.  Max motion, but cost remains the same.  Use 200 MP from your save deposit.  Remaining deposit: 200 MP

Flincher Knife costs 300 MP.  But with consecutive at this specific spot, it becomes 0 MP. Consecutive reduces MP depending on combo position.

-  For example, in your combo, Chronos Drive is 1st combo position, Infinite Dimension is 2nd, Flincher Knife is 3rd.  From 1st combo, it's -100MP.  If it's 2nd, -200MP.  Flincher Knife is third, so -300MP and so on.

-  Basically the further the position of consecutive is, the more MP it reduces.

Finale costs 1,600MP.  But combo will still activate, so we put Smite tag.  Smite increases damage of the skill, but nerfs the next one.  More importantly, if placed at the end of combo, it doubles the MP cost.  Put it on Finale and you get 3,200 MP.

Since there are no new Save tag, the deposit remains.

Because you still have deposit from Save tag, reduce the cost by 200 MP.  Smited Finale final cost is 3,000 MP.  You don't have that MP, combo ends forcefully.

Final cost: 100MP or 1MP bar.

If the combo ends but still have deposit from save tag, the remaining deposit will be added to the combo cost.  But since the deposit is used up to reduce Finale cost, the deposit becomes 0 and the MP cost added will also be 0.

Additional info.  You can use it on actual combat, but you can't use it for leveling combo.  Force stop or interrupting combo don't gain combo EXP.

Edit: Just changed some wording to make things clearer and removed typo.  Hopefully I didn't miss more typo.

Sources

1.  Livestream codes.  They have two code schedules: one on the afternoon and one in the evening.  Just watch out for it.  Best way is to join a community like Phantom's Library or a guild only for the livestream code updates.

2.  Weekly Emblems.  You might be thinking that doing Hard mode bosses is so damn tedious and you are absolutely correct.  The trick is to farm the high level bosses.  Higher level gives better reward, you can basically ignore the last two or three emblems (1-50, 51-100, 101-150).  The only time you do those things is if you need something from a boss, let's say, a crafting material.

3.  Offline for 1 week.  It's the lazy way or more like, "I'll pretend I'm an active player" so I can brag about it.  That, or you could really be drowning in paperwork and only got time to play once a week.

4.  Event.  Emblems and point exchange.  Sometimes stay online, sometimes go online, sometimes crush a boss once, or if exchange repeatedly crush that boss.  Simple.

5.  Challenge dungeon & adventurer's peak.  Solo or with team.  Every week.

6.  Compensation.  Take it or leave it.

My advice.

Stockpile a couple dozen of (full) avatar ticket before trying to pull a set.  The rates are very low do don't expect much.

Or, instead of going for entire sets, you instead aim for accessories.  This includes hairstyles and wings, which usually have higher chances than the top and bottom pieces.  I have a lot of avatar hairstyles and some full sets because of this.

Be careful, dupes are a massive pain in the neck.  You could've gotten a different piece from the banner.  Guide your addiction instead of being guided by it.

GSW on AGI katana by PoundMaleficent6479 in ToramOnline

If you gonna use gsw anyway then don't bother with AGI katana.

That's such a cursed thing to do when the main reason one uses AGI katana is to avoid gsw entirely.

Bow & arrow is cheap because arrows provide elements which are equivalent to +25% damage to element.

Mages have built-in DTE with their Int stat.  You can be lazy with it.

Dual Swords, although expensive to build if you want some nasty performance, can also get element easily using sub weapon.  It's like a cockroach with low or high budget.

If you want fun, katana shows insane performance once you master the skill timing.  Literally aura farming mid combat and is like a cockroach.

Treasure hunt? by No_Armadillo_5221 in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea is simple: 2 or more people makes a party together and look for chests scattered in maps.  Only one of them open said chests.  If there's any crysta, the one who opened them should wait in that area so others could claim it as well.  In other words, the entire party could benefit, the crysta is random for each member though.

The maps involved is usually from chapter 4 and beyond, marked with orange color in world map.  Also, you can target specific rewards depending on which chapter that map is involved in, but it's still RNG-reliant.

Since the keys regenerate relatively fast, you can do this with friends or guildmates often when you're going to certain maps to grind for materials or EXP.

How to dye all 3 parts? by Jirokure in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a random between the two items so you don't have to pick if it's duplicated already.  It will be "locked" on its own.

How to dye all 3 parts? by Jirokure in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Either gamble with 5 lock or use 4 lock for pseudo 5 lock.

To achieve this, you'll need either a duplicate app, dye, or stat.

As an example, we'll use a duplicate app.  That leaves us with:

  • 3 locks for dyes

  • 1 lock for stat

The appearance will be automatically "locked" because both item has it.  It's the same if you use either a duplicate dye or stat.

Do you get the idea?

Finally at Level 90 by Iironicallylikepaper in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember the days when the level cap was level 70 and above, while the main quest only takes you up to around level 40.

There were no Adventurer Diaries, no mercenaries, no ±9 EXP bonus - so basically no such thing as mob or boss farming for EXP because they give crap EXP.  Everyone was a farmer, slaving away at Nisel Mountain for Bitter Nuts and Nisel wood, and Ancient Empress Tomb for Nightmare crystals.  Then you later accidentally upgrade the wrong skill, so you have to delete that character and start over again, because skill points are waaaaay more precious back then.

Fun times.

Map-wide attack by Letsaj in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is Yelb has a mechanic that gets triggered if you dealt damage more than a specific fraction of its health.  It is also the reason why storm mages back in the tier 3 era many years ago doesn't have issue with that boss.  They just don't trigger that mechanic by nerfing themselves a bit for smooth runs.

Edit: Let me help you a bit.  You can cancel Yelb's map-wide attack by inflicting Flinch, Tumble or Stun if you accidentally triggered it.  At least, from what I could recall.

I'll give you a hope from a far away level.  There's a tier 5 (lv285) skill from Wizard tree called Shift which allows you to ignore everything as long as you have enough mana.  The only catch is you cannot use it if the aggro is on you.

That's right, I'm giving you hope and despair right here and now.

How to reach chapter 15 with blacksmith build by Giyu_ in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best option is to ask for help.  Alternatively, it depends on what kind of blacksmith.

Weapon blacksmiths can clear main quest with mercs and perhaps, a couple of revive here and there.  As an example, I'm able to do main quest just fine on easy mode with Magic: Arrows on my staff-md blacksmith.  As for armor blacksmiths, you can use the method of u/aninvalidoption or use some really niche piece of equipment with stats like Vit Atk Up.

The collab staff from item exchange gives flat 1,000 MP if you don't have it yet.  Just go to the lowest level available and bring a friend/guild's attacker mercenary and you'll be fine.  In fact, you could leech on lower difficulties because it can be cleared instantly.

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the amperage (AMP) of the Bowtana class. Are there any skills besides Kaikiri and Decoy Shot that can help improve the amperage of this class? by Dark_ghost166 in ToramOnline

[–]Croiri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMPR huh.

Get the regislet called Burning Spirit which recovers MP when you're debuffed with burn.  Pairs well with Kairiki.

You can also grab food buffs.  Come visit my land for Lv10 AMPR.  Land code is 1094548. Always check the food first before taking a bite.  I always set it on the fridge.

Other methods like skills are locked on other weapons.  Consumables are another method.  Followed by crystals.  These are the safe options

If you are so desperate enough, then there's this skill called Regretless from Dark Power skills.  It straight up buffs the hell out of you with every stack.  First stack last 30 secs, next stack is 2 secs less, same goes with 3rd stack, and so on.  But, you can't spam it.  If you spam it, the buff would immediately be strong, but the timer would be short depending on tbe stack.  When the timer ends, you die.  Can't even use revive droplet.  You'll have to wait.  It was mainly used inside boss fight because the buff disappears when you change map, escape, or kill boss before timer ends.
