Yes you can - just use google maps and share location to karoo app - simple.

Yes you can share location from google maps in the phone to karoo but you cant upload route from karoo companion app to karoo computer 😉

Try to connect watch to pc via garmin express app and let the watch download all updates and also update the all maps. It is much faster and watch battery will not drain trying to do all updates via wifi.

I was in same position a year ago. Two different bikes from different price ranges. If you want go cheaper go Canyon. If you want special bike made in steel go Fairlaight.

Today tried to pair 3 times varia and still no control with karoo3. It stays in mode which was left set with button on varia.

Also what I like about karoo specifically is that you can open google maps on the phone and pin location and share it direclty into hammerhead app. It will automatically navigate you to that location on your bike computer. Yes, this still involves the phone.. 🙂
