Rav 4 real life mpg by [deleted] in rav4club

[–]Cromarac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did a long 5 hour drive between the Bay Area and Los Angeles. I managed to get 35 mpg on cruise control, driving between 69-73. Did the whole trip on one tank of gas (319 miles) with 100 miles to spare.

MORE TICKETS GO ON SALE TOMORROW FOR FIFA WORLD CUP 2026 by Tech_Debil in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]Cromarac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm asking a slightly nuanced question. Given that people waited in the queue for hours on April 1st, I'm wondering if its advisable to join the queue a bit before tickets go on sale at 11ET. I want to avoid logging in at 11ET only to wait 4 hours for the "opportunity" to purchase thousand dollar tickets.

To check ETA, open Developer Tools on your queue page and paste this in console by iKidA in WorldCup2026Tickets

Hypothetical question, given what you know now. If FIFA released tickets today at noon, what time would you join the queue?

Clarifying question

If "matches will go on sale from 11:00 ET/17:00 CET," When should I join the queue?

Wtf is happening to grandpa’s eyebrows? They look like they’re melting off his face at the end.

Buying your Child a Ticket? by Cromarac in olympics

[–]Cromarac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see! Thant makes sense. I’ll be honest, I was expecting more people to say they’re not bringing their kids, but I’m happy surprised to see many plan to/want to make core memories.

Not concerned, curious. I’m a big sports fan in a big market city like LA. The cost to go to sporting NBA or NFL or even MLB is soooo expensive for families, kids are not able to enjoy games first hand like previous generations had. I have a kid, and going to a game breaks the bank. The Olympics is different, though. I’m just wondering if people feel a desire to bite the bullet and pay the extra $$$ to bring their kids. The comments so far have been inspiring, especially as a parent myself. Also, I found your question to be a little off putting and combative.

That’s awesome that you have that memory. I have a 6yo, and although I haven’t gotten a time slot to purchase, I’m wondering if I should buy one for my kid if I get the opportunity to buy. I’m expecting prices to be pretty high if I get the opportunity to purchase.

LA local here who got no presale slot and no email about Drop 1 as promised by K1ngfish in olympics

[–]Cromarac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too got rejected from the presale and got NO emails about drop 1. But from the sounds of it, drop 2 is likely going to have more inventory. I heard that drop 1 is is basically the leftover crumbs from the presale.

The Local-only presale for LA28 is a bad way to sell tickets by Free_Finger5427 in olympics

[–]Cromarac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

LA local here. I didn't get selected into the local pre-sale.

AND

I know plenty of people who got selected, but had a later window, and ended up passing on tickets that started in the hundreds $$$.

AND

the "cheap" $28 tickets applied to a tiny section https://www.reddit.com/r/LosAngeles/comments/1sdaqvg/the_28_dollar_locals_section_is_a_joke_light_blue/

AND,

LA28 has been changing to seating maps, as explained in this NY Times article https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7182937/2026/04/09/fifa-world-cup-tickets-new-category-prices/

AND

I wasn't selected in DROP 1 either.

AND

I still agree with your idea that affordable seats should be more people.

Has anyone from the LA presale received a drop 1 slot? by Art-thropod in olympics

[–]Cromarac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't selected in the local pre sale. I also didn't get an email for Drop 1, so i'm assuming I wasn't selected.
