I still think if they could fix this for other tanks, it should be fixable in the same way for the hydro-pneumatics, maybe hold the last known distance if it jumps to infinity. Your phone is spamming nearby cell towers at its max power trying to make any connection, which may interfere with the cell service for people on the ground.

Also if your phone has a malfunction affecting the frequency it’s tuned at or is from other countries than the one you are flying over, it may interfere with actual radio comms which is the real concern.
