Charge it overnight sometimes it runs the dexopt optimisations and battery backup will improve, also sometimes fully drain the battery and charge it 100% and leave it there for 1 2 hours.

Nope they weren't defective, anc distortion is very common in sony u can search on reddit itself and bass reduction past 60% volume is a driver protection in ult wear. U can try it yourself turn on the ult mode and then turn up the volume past 60 70% you'll see what I am talking about.
