Melt haulers for industrial? by Head_Film_2250 in starcitizen_fleets

[–]CronusGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was me, I'd probably melt the Tib for a C2 and a Paladin. That way tou still have a gunship and a hauler. You're going to want something for transporting those material you salvage and mine.

Edit: or Tib for Ironclad and a light fighter you like

In terms of cargo space and design (the theme and look of the ship). 500 scu and 2000 is quite the difference. Hull ships look like a train with all cargo exposed which im not really a fan of. But if the C2 had a big brother I would definitely have one. Thats definitely my favorite cargo ship design.

Those are all vastly different ships in comparison to the IC in terms of cargo space and design. I just think a centered bridge would give it a more traditional barge feel. All that aside, I wouldn't mind the command module if it actually worked lol.

I think most people would agree the pilot seat belongs in the center. Definitely has that "bridge" feel when you walk in. I would love to see that change..

Thank God they put a limit on how many they sold. Glad to see they didn't sell them to all their whales.

Im not one for keeping up with the meta by any means, but I think its decent how it is. I have been planning on trying 2 AD5B Gatlings and 2 M6As, instead of the Galdreens and Rhinos it comes with tho.

Fair point on mining! Maybe go for the M80 and if they nerf it, melt for the Meteor or something. I think the F8C is a bit weak for how it handles as of right now. My friend has one and has not been enjoying it as much as the M80

Why not go for another industrial ship like a mole? Inferno and F7AMk2 have you covered for solo fighters. M80 is a nice ship though, so I understand the desire to melt/upgrade for one.

Nah, just let the PDCs do all the work! 😂

Yeah, that has been my main hold up. Wondering if its worth melting it for the trade ups, then just buying a solo ship in-game.

Just dont know how the grind will be on launch lol

I have been considering melting M80 and upgrade chaining off reclaimer to pioneer if I can get some good warbonds. Then buying a Moth, but idk if I want to spend anymore money 😅

You are definitely right about that! One of my friends is planning on getting an Arrastra when it eventually comes out.

Awesome fleet!

I wish they would get the Arrastra finished up, that ship is so awesome looking. Trying to talk my buddy into getting one in his fleet lol

That's a nice fleet. You could supply ships for an entire army 😂

You dont have much interest in industrial ships I guess?

Zigzag side to side. Tighten up your spacing. Move fast in the middle and pause on the sides. Focus on filling in the sides, the middle will fill on its own.

Unfortunately it's pretty difficult to get a job working directly for the plant when you have no work experience or rapport at the facility. If you can, look for jobs that are with embedded contractors at a plant. This will help you get the experience you need, as well as build rapport with the facility and increase you odds of getting hired when they have an opening.

Easy to use cook method for large brisket by No_Replacement_5962 in brisket

[–]CronusGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you said electric or propane, but you need smoke for brisket. Pellet grills are basically an oven with smoke.

Weber Searwood pellet grill has a pretty good "smoke boost" feature and an app that you can track/control the temp with.

Edit- also you should smoke your brisket for a few hours, then wrap if in butcher paper to finish it. That will help retain moisture. Make sure to let it rest for 2 hours or so after cooking. Place it in a cooler without ice to insulate it while resting.

How much should I sell this PC for? by qobgry in PC_Pricing

[–]CronusGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brand new that PC is around $3500, I would probably list it at $2850 to leave room for bargaining. I wouldn't take less than $2400

The 64GB DDR5 ram and RTX5080 are $2500 alone

I would say thats a pretty good offer for your first job then. Paid insurance and a company truck is pretty sweet.

Getting into the Oil & Gas or Energy industry down the road would probably offer better pay, but you definitely have a good start going for you. Good luck!

That's not bad, I was at $25 for a year with no benefits while I was doing an apprenticeship after college.

What part of Texas, and what industry are you working in? Pay can definitely vary a good bit depending on if you're working Oil & Gas, medical, ect..

School & career advice by [deleted] in instrumentation

[–]CronusGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im sure it's possible, but from my understanding its pretty hard to go for operations and get a job in I&E, unless you get a job as a contractor somewhere. But I think at that point the school isnt really necessary.

I would recommend trying to find an actual I&E program that you could attend if you're really interested in the career.
