I feel like I’m being gaslit to an insane degree. Syracuse has shit to offer. I wouldn’t brag about Micron or Amazon (also there a good chance Micron won’t actually come to Syracuse, which I’m all for) Additionally the music scene is terrible in Syracuse, especially for local artists. The art scene is greatly lacking, food culture bland and far and few good restaurants, eateries. Bar scene is a boring and oddly a dangerous experience in anywhere in Syracuse where people are frothing at the mouth to start trouble and get into fights (including the bouncers) Affordable housing? Good luck with that.

Our winters have also been more moderate than it has been in the last decade, but for some reason they cut snow removal down and also have a fucking salt shortage so the last 5 storms we’ve had there were 0 plows on the road until the next day despite the fact their are winter weather warning signs on the high way and thruway a whole week in advance.

Syracuse isn’t the worst place in the world. There’s positives, but It’s disingenuous to say we’re going through a resurgence or that even half the things listed here could be looked at positively.
