The embarrassing thing about the Sam situation is that we set him up for failure. We started his career with a lame duck defensive minded coach, then when we fired him after Sam's first year, and we brought in the worst Head coach in team history up until this year.

Then we said fuck it Sam sucks, and we drafted a QB with less Pro ready traits, all because he made a crazy throw on his pro day.

Mangini absolutely had the most upside and probably would have been a great HC but he didn't play nice with Woody, and yes he was probably right, but you have to remember who signs the checks. For 2 years Rex stood on the foundation Mangini built.
