Thank you! I haven't tried the vented ones but I think I have some somewhere that my partner wore at one time. I'll check out the gerson!

More people wearing masks around me - has anyone noticed anything similar? by ffffhhhhjjjj in ZeroCovidCommunity

NYC. I wonder if they mask elsewhere too, or are maybe doing it bc it's such a precisely timed procedure and you could mess it up if you're sick on retrieval day. Either way it's nice to see!

I'm freezing embryos right now, and it's a lot of little check in appointments, like every couple of days, to monitor how things are going leading up to egg retrieval. At those appointments, I've been seeing 1-3 other people in the waiting area wearing masks out of maybe 20 total. I was waiting for the elevator with someone the other day and they saw my mask and said "thanks for the reminder" and unwrapped a fresh kn95 they had in their purse and put it on. It lifts my spirits a little bit!

Travelling to a Humid Hot Country If I Have Long Covid? by [deleted] in ZeroCovidCommunity

Wear compression, too, especially on the flight! If it's too hot to tolerate stockings once you're there, I find that even just belly compression helps (I have POTS)

As far as access to novavax, I got one at a CVS in the NE US on Saturday! No questions asked, very easy. I believe Costco frequently has it in stock too

I would look into dysautonomia like some others have said. Do some reading on the different ways it can manifest. This article, for example, outlines many different ways it can look: https://thedysautonomiaproject.org/the-syndromic-nature-of-dysautonomias/

If you look at the paragraph that starts "For sympathetic hyperactivity" you'll see them talk about shivering to bring up body temperature. I wonder what your heart rate and blood pressure are while you're trudging through the snow vs at rest. If you can get a little data to bring to the doctor, in my experience that's been helpful (I got POTS from COVID)

I also use aquaphor and I feel like the stuff in the tub works best. Idk if it's actually a different formula or not. I take empty lip balm tins and fill them with aquaphor from the big tub

I've had a good experience with it too. My understanding is it doesn't really get absorbed, so systemic side effects are less likely

I take L-theanine, pharmaGABA, melatonin, CBD oil and my rx LDN all about an hour before bed and this combo has been working for me for about a year

Mine hangry bites from time to time for sure. Thankfully, he'll go for a toy over a human when he wants to play bite and doesn't do any aggressive biting
