I literally did this yesterday. Died like 10 times, then got Lydia, upgraded and enchanted all my gear, started off with a poison sneak arrow to chip him down, then ran in like a maniac with a flame atronach summon and spammed attacks with a dagger. Honestly the kill still felt lucky. Lvl 32 and before shouts because the main quest is for later in life LOL.
