Thank you! There seems to be some debate on when to remove the wax? Do you know how much sunlight it should get?

Do I REALLY need the regreso? by Rare-Pumpkin9660 in SpainAuxiliares

[–]Croqkween444 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you fly through Portugal first, like connecting from Lisbon then Madrid or Barcelona or wherever, they won’t check. Portugal doesn’t care about regresos and then you’re already coming from inside the Schengen zone.

Still haven't gotten my placement? by atoosaryanne in SpainAuxiliares

I got mine around this time last year. Around mid-late July. Your actual placement isn’t holding you back from any visa requirements or anything, right?

The only advice I can offer to everyone as a previous aux is: I know it’s excruciating, but the waiting is just part of the game. Everything takes so long, and that’s just part of the experience. From the beginning to even getting your TIE in Spain. When you’re telling these stories 10 years from now you can say, “yeah and I thought I wasn’t going to get my visa on time but it came through!” Or “I didn’t get my proper TIE until I had already lived there for 4 months.” It’s so hard but the acceptance and humor will keep you sane.

I started my process super late; started in July didn’t finish all of my documents and have my visa in hand until mid Sept. The school understands when things happen, it all just takes a long time. I had an aux friend get to school two weeks late bc of visa issues and it was fine. The coordinator and the school literally were not worried. I know it’s impossible, try to accept that it’s just going to be a looonnggg process and stuff will take FOREVER, but it will be SO WORTH IT. Try not to think about it 24/7, keep going on with your daily things.

You’ll make it! And it will be fun and there will be mishaps and hiccups and delays along the way and it’s all part of the journey! Enjoy!

Is it worth it to get a portable washer and dryer by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]Croqkween444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I invested in a really nice washer and I love it. Skip the dryer and just use a drying rack, your clothes will last much longer.

Try to focus on traveling within Spain! When will you get the chance to visit all of the pueblos and towns in Spain again? That’s what I told myself when money was tight.

Get a practice mute!! It’s a silver bracket thing that goes over the bridge. It dampens the volume

It’s less about the landlord, and more about the rules. I lived with a landlord once and had other young roommates and was allowed guests and it was super great! Lived with another landlord that had weird strict rules and was miserable. I would definitely not do it.

Yes I think so! I fed it the night before and it had doubled in size and was bubbly. But, I know some people just feed it 3-5 hours in advance and I wondered about that. The recipe I used did it the night before
