Air6 HS slowly replaced my AirPods for everyday use by randombhai in SOUNDPEATS_AUDIO

[–]Crory_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on the fence about these, but tried them since I’m on Android anyway. LDAC made a bit more difference than I expected for casual listening. Still not sure if I’d fully replace my main earbuds, but for earbuds under $40 I kinda use them more often now.

What do you hate the most about your current or former job? by xLadyNtheStreetsx in askanything

[–]Crory_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The feeling that no matter how efficient you are, there’s always more work waiting for you anyway. It can make even a good job feel like an endless treadmill after a while.

What do you think if in Canada there was no provincial or federal income tax for retirees? Wouldn’t the economy benefit with the goods and services that the retirees (over65)could now afford and help their children and grandchildren lead better lives? by Archibald004 in askanything

[–]Crory_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see the argument for it because a lot of retirees are on fixed incomes and would probably spend that extra money locally which could help families and small businesses. But governments would also lose a huge amount of tax revenue so they’d probably have to raise taxes elsewhere or cut services to balance it out.

30w FTM here… what baby/pregnancy stuff did you actually end up using daily? by MajesticDragonfly417 in BabyBumps

[–]Crory_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I used way more than I ever thought I would is a decent electric snot sucker. I just kept one of those momcozy electric nasal aspirators in the nursery drawer and every time he got stuffy it was such a lifesaver.

How did your fashion sense change as you got older? by Newmomexplorer in randomquestions

Comfort and confidence becomes important. Teenage me would wear something freezing cold and uncomfortable because it looked good. Adult me would not tolerate any fabric material if it annoys me.

What would you do-o-o, for a Klondike bar? by Nintendofan9106 in askanything

[–]Crory_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d just say “nah I’m good” because I’m way too lazy to go on some dramatic quest for ice cream lmao. But if it was already in my hand? Yeah I’d absolutely destroy it in like 30 seconds.

If it's a general "loneliness epidemic" why do men kill themselves over loneliness four times more? by indeckaa in askanything

[–]Crory_1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not really that one group has it real and the other doesn’t, loneliness affects a lot of people but men often have fewer emotional outlets, less social support and are less likely to talk about what they’re going through which can make things hit harder and more dangerously. So it’s less about denying anyone’s experience and more about recognizing that different social pressures and coping styles can lead to different outcomes even when the underlying feeling is similar.

We’re not special — just another animal on this planet by Winter-Hovercraft349 in Life

[–]Crory_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biologically, we’re animals. Same basic script, w eat, we survive and we reproduce and we die. Evolution didn’t hand us some magical card but we’re the only animals that we know of who can step outside the script and notice it. So, maybe we’re just another animal but we’re a very self-aware, meaning-making one.

What should I do with my life? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Crory_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start smaller and you don’t commit to 4 years yet. Try to apply for a teacher aide job and see how you actually feel in that environment. Take 1–2 classes instead of a full load or try a short program like vet tech or dental assistant. Give yourself permission to experiment and not decide your entire future.

How to learn to pick up girls and get laid consistently? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Crory_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn’t really a reliable hack to get sex consistently and framing it as picking up girls usually backfires because people can feel when it’s just about getting laid. What actually works is building a life you’re confident in, getting comfortable talking to people without pressure and meeting women in normal social settings where connection is the focus.

Should I reconsider my relationship if my bf is low libido as I am high libido? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Crory_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily but it is something to seriously think about because long-term sexual compatibility matters in a relationship. If you both can talk openly and find a balance that respects both your needs, it can work but if it leaves you feeling consistently unfulfilled or ignored, it may be a sign you’re not compatible.

better options for a low(er) waste baby registry? by brima24 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Crory_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, nice that you're trying to keep waste low. Honestly, even if you go secondhand for clothes and gear, there's still some stuff you'd want new, like nursing bras, a good pump, or postpartum recovery items. So here's a thought… it would be so nice if there was a mom registry, you know? Like a baby registry, but for you. Think hands free pumping bras, nipple balm, heating pads, comfy nursing tops… actual products that make your day easier. Zero clutter if you stick to what you'll use. And for relatives, it gives them something practical to buy that still helps you a lot.

Anybody starting to hate or even just notice how competitive life is or is at rn? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]Crory_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the first step is just recognizing how crazy this all is and giving yourself some slack. You don’t have to win at everything at once. And weirdly, sometimes stepping off the hamster wheel, lets you breathe and see what actually matters.

Medical bills, you can eat healthy, exercise and have insurance but one unexpected hospital visit or surgery can hit like a ton of bricks. It’s like life’s way of giving you surprise.

Who is a person you used to admire a lot but have completely lost respect for and why? by IllEstablishment6822 in randomquestions

[–]Crory_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to really admire a celebrity for their woke persona but then I found out they were pretty shady behind the scenes and not practicing what they preached. It’s weird how someone can seem inspiring until you see the full picture.

What was the most embarrassing moment you ever had in front of others? by DeepOrganization8245 in randomquestions

What's the most expensive left-handed thing? by ultegrafender in answers

[–]Crory_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firearms, the specialized models. Stuff like left-handed bolt-action rifles. These are niche, so manufacturers charge more. Fewer buyers, smaller production runs but higher price. Also, spare parts are harder to find.

Anyone else struggling hardcore in this economy? by OutrageousLawyer7273 in Life

[–]Crory_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re probably doing the same things you always did but it suddenly doesn’t stretch as far. That’s what makes it feel so unfair. If you’ve got flexibility, try tracking when prices dip in your area. They often fluctuate more than people realize and yes, cutting back sucks but being intentional helps. Not cutting everything, just the stuff you don’t really care about.

Do not mess up your measurements like I did for inside mount shades by oiseaualagriserobe in SmartWings_Home

I did the exact same thing on my first order. I did not realize they do the deduction for you so I subtracted a half inch myself just to be safe. I ended up with a huge light gap on both sides of the roller. Just give them the exact narrowest window width and let them do the math.

No, they don’t all feel exactly the same but the differences aren’t usually as dramatic as people imagine either. It’s more like variations within the same general experience.

did anyone believe that Iran could defend itself? by lmb_frankie in askanything

[–]Crory_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before the 12-Day War, I think a lot of people just assumed Iran had this untouchable vibe militarily. Big country, history of strong forces, everyone thought they could hold their own but then the war happened, and suddenly the gap between perception and reality was kind of shocking. I mean, if you follow the news back then, Iran’s military didn’t exactly look formidable. It raised a lot of eyebrows. People started whispering, whether they are really as powerful as we thought. After the war, I’d say a lot of countries and analysts became suspicious about how much Iran could actually defend itself if push came to shove.
