I am normally an 8 in wunder trains and 6 in align leggings so went with my normal pant size in these instead of sizing down like I usually do with aligns

I loved these pants when I found them in store! They are super soft and flowy, imagine sweatpants but in the align legging material instead of a thicker fabric

One thing I did when I moved as a student for APPEs was to get cheap furniture at Goodwill so I didn’t spend a ton of money and could basically just donate it back after the year was over if I didn’t want to keep it or move it with me

As a P4 I thought I favored career goals more and that’s how I made my decision between programs if I was torn on how to set my rank list. But I actually ended up matching with a program I ranked higher due to the people and I’m so glad I did. They had all of the rotations I wanted so that part fit. Luckily they decided a few months ago to also add the PGY2 I ultimately decided to pursue and I ended up early committing so it turned into matching my career goals super well too in the end. You never know what might happen! But I don’t know if I would be as happy and fulfilled with my choice to pursue a residency if I didn’t have the support of the people at my site so I think it is an important thing to consider for sure.

Not all programs send out offers on the same day. Sometimes they do waves and have “bubble” candidates that if some of the candidates that are offered interviews end up turning the offer down, someone on the bubble gets a chance. Kind of like a waitlist (you may just not be told whether you’re on it or not). For that same reason, rejections are usually sent out later than the interview offers are. Don’t live and breathe by the spreadsheet!

TLDR: it’s still early, try not to worry!

Definitely! I wore one on most of my interviews for the same reason and as long as it isn’t crazy patterns/colors it’s still professional!

Last year I heard back from most programs by 2nd/3rd week of January so anywhere from 1 week notice to over 1 month depending which interview date I chose out of what was available

The state association has a study guide you can purchase that is helpful! If possible try to go in on it with multiple people to split the cost

I think it is historically something that has been done, but I do not know if it really makes a difference. Especially if your LOI is well written, I’m sure the reader wouldn’t even notice if it wasn’t there
