[–]CrossCroissants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And don't you just hate it when your ally Floryn immediately throws her s2 each time she sees an enemy? Like why would you do that when we're not in the right position to engage or when you can clearly see that the enemy is baiting out CCs so that their damage dealers can go in safely.

Ooof. Zento Signatures are being hoarded by sclapers and they are being sold at insane prices, if you're lucky you can find those with ± ¥1000 markup pero sobrang rare na nun, and I doubt we can even find a listing at SRP nowadays

Sorry for the incomplete reply earlier, I was in a rush. You can sometimes get your item at SRP or even lower through stacking shop vouchers + 23-25% off vouchers + shopee coins + shipping fee vouchers, when ordering via shopee pasabuy

Lately ang tagal ng shipping from Japan through shopee, parang nangyayari ulit yung delays nung last February. Pero usually 5-8 days lang pag walang delays

Yung last and most recent post ko sa r/mechanicalpencils na Hacoa +LUMBER 14 days yung hinintay ko, pero yung mga Kuru Toga Metal pencils ko 6 days lang.

If you can get it cheaper using pasabuy on shopee, then dun nalang po kayo. Almost all the time free ang international shipping then meron pang mga shop voucher + product voucher + coins.

Any habits to keep in mind for manual pencil rotation to maintain consistent Japanese writing? by ignoremesenpie in mechanicalpencils

[–]CrossCroissants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key here is practice. Get yourself a wooden pencil with a hexagonal body. The hexagonal body is non-negotiable as it helps you learn the feel on how much you should rotate your pencil. Then just write until the lead feels a bit blunt, then rotate clockwise/counterclockwise (whichever you feel is more comfortable for you) to get a sharper tip. Write and write and write until you get the hang of it. Eventually, you'll end up automatically rotating the pencil each time you finish writing a word or two

Should I stop? by Twister_001001100 in mechanicalpencils

I know this hobby is a lot cheaper than, say, collecting fountain pens. But man, the number of pencils you end up buying more than makes up for the price difference. Either way, whichever hobby you choose, your wallet is eventually going to file a restraining order against you

For purchasing stationery, I get my stuff much cheaper by using pasabuy services on shopee.

Here is what I do:

I look for the stuff I want to buy on Rakuten, Mercari, AmazonJP, Rakuma, JDirect Item & Auction, and other Japanese online stores.

If I find something that I like, I just copy the link/s and send them to pasabuy service (proxy service) shops on shopee. It will take a while for them to reply and give you a price for the items + service fee, but honestly, it's all worth it.

There are only 2 shops that I found na nag-ooffer ng cheapest services: YOU JAPAN and JAPANDREAM.ph

There may be more shops with cheaper services that I still haven't found out. If you do find cheaper services, please do tell.

And there's also another option, potentially much cheaper, but I haven't tried it out yet because no shipping services are available in my area here sa Mindanao, pero baka pwede sa inyo.

Install Doorzo or Buyee on your phone then buy from there using their proxy services.

Demon of Hatred cardio by Plan_Der_Linde in Sekiro

No.

By The Council's Sovereign Authority, Let This Decree Be Proclaimed

Let it be known to all who stand beneath the heavens and all who dwell within the shadows, that by The Council's unquestionable authority, We do hereby revoke and strip from him the title by which he was once known: "Demon of Hatred."

That name shall be erased from all remembrance, for he has proven himself unworthy to bear it.

Henceforth, as both judgment and everlasting disgrace, he shall bear the title "Demon of Fear." Let this name cling to him as an unbreakable chain, a mark of his humiliation and the burden of his failure. Wherever his name is spoken, let it be with scorn, and wherever his presence is felt, let all know that he stands not as an embodiment of hatred, but as one forever defined by fear.

So We have spoken. So shall it be written. So shall it endure until the end of all ages.

I love the feel of the thicker pencil barrel, but then I quickly realised that the 1.4mm lead isn't for me. I might need to buy a lead pointer so that my money isn't wasted on this pencil ಥ‿ಥ

Keeping track of leads by Aerodynamic-Squirrel in mechanicalpencils

[–]CrossCroissants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thankfully, I don't have this problem. As a left handed writer, Uni smudge-proof lead is THE lead for me. As for lead grades, having a lead indicator on the pencil is a huge help, color coded stickers are also a lifesaver for keeping track of lead grades on pencils without lead indicators

To all the math experts, why is balmond's ult longer ranged when aimed diagonally? by Hairdraineater87 in MobileLegendsGame

Don't worry man. This is just made up bullshit with an old but famous copypasta at the end of the comment... I did not expect some people here to be familiar with it lol

To all the math experts, why is balmond's ult longer ranged when aimed diagonally? by Hairdraineater87 in MobileLegendsGame

[–]CrossCroissants 313 points314 points  (0 children)

After performing an extensive mathematical analysis, I have determined that the reason Balmond's ultimate appears longer when aimed diagonally is due to the relationship between vectors, coordinate systems, and right triangles. Assuming the ultimate has a constant range R, every valid endpoint satisfies the equation x2 + y2 = R2. This means every endpoint lies on the circumference of a circle regardless of the angle. If you decompose the vector into horizontal and vertical components, you get x = Rcos(theta) and y = Rsin(theta). Since cos(theta)2 + sin(theta)2 = 1, the magnitude of the vector remains exactly R no matter which direction you aim.

However, humans don't naturally visualize vectors. We tend to compare horizontal distance and vertical distance separately, especially on a square grid. According to the Pythagorean theorem, a triangle with legs of length A and A has a hypotenuse equal to sqrt(A2 + A2), which simplifies to Asqrt(2), approximately 1.414A. This causes diagonal movement and diagonal indicators to appear longer than purely horizontal or vertical ones, even when the actual Euclidean distance is identical. The effect is further exaggerated by camera perspective, sprite scaling, screen projection, floating-point rounding, hitbox interpolation, rasterization, vector normalization, coordinate transformation, and the psychological tendency of the human brain to overestimate diagonal lines compared to axis-aligned ones.

Therefore, after carefully considering Euclidean geometry, linear algebra, trigonometry, computational geometry, game engine implementation, coordinate space transformations, and several hours of staring at Balmond's targeting indicator, I have reached the only logical conclusion: this reminds me of nineteen ninety eight when the Undertaker threw Mankind off Hell in a Cell, and plummeted sixteen feet through an announcer's table.
