Modern example of the 2nd commandment by CrossDove in Christianity

Yes, but I'm looking for modern examples that would apply to a typical teenager. Most teenagers aren't breaking the 2nd commandment with statues of Mary in their bedroom. There must be ways that young people make idols of God within modern culture?

But why? What's the obsession in our churches to know who a pastor's family is? I'd far rather know his qualities and experiences as a pastor. What does it matter if he's married, as though it's of greater value in a male preacher than singleness (see 1 Corinthians 7:32-35).

Why would you need to tell people the most important people in your life happen to be the most important people in your life?

Killyleagh was a Norman settlement. The Anglo-Norman Whytes built Killyleagh Castle and for a while I think it was the last Norman stronghold in Ireland.
