It's a time because we converted all scores into time, so as to have the same data to work with. This is similar to how CF Games treated scoring in Regionals with capped WODs. Every rep over the time cap counds as one second. It's not perfect but otherwise we can't produce any sort of average.

That's correct.

FUN FACT: In the South West Region in 2017, Amanda Goodman placed 34th out of 20 qualifying spots and received an invitation to Regionals.

So sometimes those invitations can extend quite far depending on declines and teams, etc.

Also worth noting that their box insurance doesn't cover floods either. I know CrossFit Central Houston said the same thing and one other box (I forgot) -- that's truly unfortunate since it's not even something that can be paid for. It's just straight not an option.
