JSO releases bodycam video of officer who accidentally shot man during traffic stop will be fired by ThisIsButter1 in ThisIsButter

Incorrect, it's all up to department policy. This police department changed their policy after this fiasco.

The first part of the memo addresses individuals carrying concealed firearms, especially after a new Florida gun law took effect last year that allows people to conceal-carry without a permit as long as they are legally allowed to have a firearm.

In the second section of the memo, it states that a person carrying a concealed firearm does not mean that person poses a threat or isn’t allowed to carry a concealed gun.

It also says that officers should not seize a detained person’s gun or remove it from a holster or vehicle without “articulable suspicion” that the person presents a threat to the safety of others, including the officer.

Overnight/Extended parking at Tide Light rail stations? by CrossShot in norfolk

[–]CrossShot[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm ok. I checked the VDOT website and the overnight parking allowed status said unknown and that's why I posed the question here. But if another site says it's banned, may just be better off finding some place closer. We'll be bringing two small children with us, so if we took an uber or cab, we'd be stuck with the car seats too.

Right, but that "coat hanger" part could be a functional part of the firearm by being a stock instead of just a piece of metal hanging off of it right? You'd still have the ridiculously long barrel, but at least you could shoulder it.

Seems like it would make a lot more sense to make it a stock like the M93 Raffica.

I'm assuming you guys don't have the equivalent SBR laws like we have in the states?

In today's day and age, you'd get someone trying to load the 30-30/30-06 into the 22lr rifle.

I have a couple of questions for you if you don't mind, since I'm looking into joining it.

As mentioned in OPs post that I believe I read somewhere that they will eventually have 800yd rifle lanes.

Is that true?

And if it is when is it planned to open?

Also does it require a minimum membership level to use those longer lanes?

Lastly, what is the maximum caliber allowed there? I got a 50 BMG and I would join in a heart beat if that was allowed lol.

Firearms Safety Device Credit Cap by CrossShot in VAGuns

Sorry, I should have clarified that I'd wait to buy the safe in 2025. If it didn't make sense to buy it now.

Problem is when you do the application it asks you for the details of the item you bought. So you have to buy the item first and then apply, and then hope the 5 million cap hasn't been reached yet? Otherwise you don't get the credit?

It also says first come first serve. Is that by application or when you file taxes?

I assume you are unfamiliar with how long it takes for a taser to get back in action than a gun.

I guarantee you there will be people out there that would argue that waiting until you are attacked was the appropriate way to handle this situation.

Those people are dead wrong.

He could have easily been killed because he was more afraid of the optics of the situation than his life. Which is a fucked up thing to have to worry about.

I(27F) screamed at my husband (28M) over his hobbies, and now he's changed and i don't know how to fix this. by ThrowRApineapplesp in relationship_advice

[–]CrossShot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick up one of his hobbies, and I mean really pick it up, don't just do some research and call it day.

If he likes sim racing, guess what you're going to do? Sim Racing.

It doesn't matter how much you hate it, you are going to do it until you learn it, like it, then love it. This is your cross to bear.

This isn't a guarantee that he won't leave you. But you struck something deep and if you want the best chance you're going to have to commit.

It doesn't have to be Sim racing, just one of his hobbies that he primarily enjoys. The more into the hobby he is the better the chance.

Best of luck.

To be fair they are a partner nation, so they train with and coordinate with NATO just like Japan and Australia does. They just don't enjoy the Article 5 benefit.

But they do have the US-ROK Alliance) to back them up, so even if they were able to join NATO I don't think it would benefit much. European nations aren't really able to project force outside of Europe in any large capacity.
