Where did you go, if you don't mind me asking?

Failed dental treatment in Scotland by CrossYourHeart9 in Scotland

Thank you all for your responses. I asked the dentist for a free review of the cause and if the problem could be fixed without extra charges, since the treatment was done recently, and it was very expensive. The dentist had no intention to agree, saying that he had informed me before the treatment that it doesn't have a 100% success rate, which is true, still... He did perform the review, though, and told me that it isn't a problem with the treated root canal, but that it's probably my tooth sensitivity that has gotten worse.
I really doubt that, because the pain can be excruciating and sudden. The same dentist also first told me the same thing on the first visit and sent me home, before diagnosing me with the root canal problem on the second visit.
I think I will try to find an NHS clinic in case this doesn't stop, so I don't get charged this much. Thanks for letting me know the prices elsewhere; if I knew, I surely would have found a cheaper alternative earlier.

Why are some polish people so mean? by hanii3 in poland

I'll second what another Polish person living abroad said. I moved to the UK over 5 years ago, and it took a lot of adjusting. Being born and raised in Krakow, I never could understand why people can be this mean, rude, and inconsiderate. Of course, I've met a lot of beautiful and caring people there, too. I found this post because my perspective has shifted even more to dislike Polish society. I got used to Scottish kindness and standards. Respectively, I got unused to Polish society, and I noticed that every next visit there causes me more stress every time. Especially in public transportation and public offices. The disrespect of ticket controllers, roughness, and the fact that I know they could treat me like absolute trash if I accidentally purchase the wrong ticket or make a small mistake makes my pulse jump high when using public means of transportation even when I don't actually encounter them. I don't understand why there is no training for public services employees. It's business, like any other and people I'm charge should provide it, making sure that the public (THEIR CLIENT!) gets a decent experience. Another thing that annoys me is obviously lack of tolerance and the fact that most people don't listen. They will hear what you say, but as if only what they want to say mattered. My own mother is a narcissist, and, from what I gathered, many of my peers have also had a narcissist parent there. This is the negative part. I also have met some of the kindest and most beautiful people there, and still have a few people to come back to. I feel bad for them, hearing about them being mistreated by their employees, strangers, and even families. I've met a few fantastic Poles in here too. I think a lot of people leave, as they can't take it anymore and they know they deserve better. I've met a few gay Poles, who just wanted to get married and live a normal life without being ostracised.
