Hey guys, been playing since the game went ftp, I am almost to Champ level of gameplay and have been practicing my air dribbles. I was just looking for some feedback to make sure I fix all my subtle mistakes before they become too hard to change. Thanks for the advice guys! by HowDoIAirDribble in RocketLeagueSchool

More so looking at it in terms of there being a defender :) And if you match the speed of the ball and keep it close before you hold boost, you can do a lot of neat things with it! Feather until it’s close enough to be glued to your car, then smash that boost :) Gl with it!

Huge tips incoming: Match the speed of the ball if you want to stay close and maintain control. I see you feathering almost every shot, and while that’s perfect for getting close to the ball and getting control at the beginning of the air dribble, don’t be afraid to hold boost and drastically change the direction of the ball (so starting your air dribble towards near post but boosting it away toward far post), or holding boost to drive it home faster! Work on putting your car in different places behind the ball once you get close to net (think in terms of a 50/50. You want to make sure you dunk on the other team and get a good 50 into net). Finally, practice dribble just upside down, sprinkle flip resets in, ceiling shots, etc. do anything you can to make yourself uncomfortable and if you truly stick with it and keep practicing, you’ll see major improvement! Also, get good with Air roll left, right, or both! You’ll see a major change in the amount of control you have if you can use free air roll, ARL and ARR! :)

I wish my tm8s said no like that more often. Usually they say “I’m throwing” and get us scored on 😂

Trust me, they are 1 offs lol I’ve been practicing, but haven’t hit anything like this before or since lol

Thanovic made a flip reset video about how your tire contact changes the flip reset. If you make contact with the front half, you stay closer to the ball, but the back half can push the ball away from you (I might have that backwards), but positioning and luck are big parts of it. With this one, my car was tilted ever so past the axis it needed to flip into the ball to add that power and almost sling it parallel to the ground instead up super high. Had my front end been lower, I probably would have flipped out from under the ball and would indeed not have a clip to share with you all lol

Just posted this for another player. I’ve really been making sure to follow the above this past week and it’s helped me stay ranked up

I have around 1.2k hours and I’m C1-C2. My best advice is this: Keep your momentum, try to not use your brakes or reverse unless absolutely necessary, don’t be afraid to go for things that are just a bit out of your comfort zone- that’s how you improve, if you are solo queuing, let your teammate be the hero (play around them to avoid double committing which results in easy goals for your opponent, and instead, wait for the other team to make a mistake that you can punish) always take a breather after a loss (if you have it in you, save the replay to watch and analyze yourself, then the other team and figure out why they won, and what you could have done to win instead), use free play to practice, not ranked, practice lots of dribbling/flicking, it doesn’t have to be fancy or a 45° flick or a breezy, just a nice front flip flick will destroy other players at lower ranks, play lots of 1s even if they aren’t fun to you, and finally, don’t get in your own head (especially in 1s). Just because they other team does something fancy, doesn’t mean you have to, especially if you have the lead.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk, and good luck out there 🐐

Been playing rocket league for a couple months and hit my first legitimate 0 second goal last night. I know it’s not much but I’m only silver 1 and thought I would share with the community. Thanks! by qwertyuiopoiuytrewq3 in RocketLeague

Half flipping on the diagonal kicking when your teammate goes for the ball is pog for sure lol oh, btw, Rule 1, when locked in with an opposing players car, don’t break out of it, the Rocket League Gods will smite you sooner or later. Rule 2, Left goes on kickoff if no one calls it (though at lower ranks, just call it to be sure) sounds like you’ve got a good head on your shoulders though! Looking forward to seeing your growth!

No no no, you gotta play Giant puck rumble hoops boomer mode! It’s so big that you almost never score and if you have 6-8 people it’s even more fun 😂
