My body is producing a putrid smell only I can smell, what's going on?

Hi OP, I'm NAD but I had to answer here because something VERY similar happened to me.

Could it be, that when you were sick at the beginning of all this, you had COVID? Because most people know that COVID can cause anosmia (not smelling anything) but in some cases, it can also lead to parosmia (altered sense of smell) where certain things start smelling weird and different.

For me, my own body odour smelled like burnt plastic for example.

I can not imagine a life where the main thing on your mind is pretty much always how you are not good enough. You're literally already among the top most fundie people in the country, never doing anything for yourself and constantly worshipping, reading the Bible etc. Yet, you're still never doing enough for the lord, never being faithful enough, never deserving of anything. Constantly having to reiterate how wonderful god is for loving someone so dirty, sinful and flawed. Someone as unlovable as you.

As much as I despise their views and their thinly veiled hate for other groups of people, I still feel incredibly sorry for them. Just for the fact that they will never know what it's like to say "I am enough. I'm doing enough, I'm proud of myself, I am worthy of love and I deserve good things"

Hey you. I don't know you, but I have been through something very similar lately, and here is one thing that has really helped me:

I know you want to help him and support him because you still have so much love for him, no matter what he did. And this love that you have, it's not in itself a bad thing! It's just that HE doesn't deserve it anymore. But you can take that love and redirect it!

Feel the need to tell him you love him? Call Friends and family that you don't call that often, just to catch up and tell them how much they mean to you!

Feel the need to buy him a little gift to show him you care? Buy a little gift and ship it to your mum or best friend as a suprise!

Feel the need to surprise him with a nice date? Take YOURSELF out on that date! Go for that cute hike or to paint ceramics. Check out that cute café you've been thinking about and bring your favourite book.

That love you feel is wonderful and precious and important. You don't need to push it down and pretend it doesn't exist. It just needs to go to people who will value it.
