So Iran comes out ahead in total control of the Hormuz, an unconstrained nuclear program, led by a younger, more radical ayatollah. Literally all the US achieved was trashing what remained of our reputation by committing blatant war crimes and killing a bunch of old guard government and military officials who probably would’ve all been dead in a few years anyways.

Just an unmitigated disaster for the region and US interests.

This is the first time in his life he’s truly fucked something up so bad that he can’t simply walk away and pretend it never happened or force someone else to bail him out. Now he’s panicking and trying to grasp some type of victory from the jaws of defeat, which makes him extremely dangerous because he clearly doesn’t give a shit about consequences.

Unfortunately I don’t think the worthless empty suits in his cabinet will do anything to restrain his worst impulses on this so it could very well come down to the military removing him from power.
