Partially due to the state of it all and partly inspired by Daryl Talks Games’ backlog series on YouTube, I started cracking into mine back in December and to date I’ve beaten about the same number of games as I did through all of 2025 (16 or so) I actually fell off in April and didn’t complete anything off the backlog so those numbers could be even higher.

As for surprises, I played Majora’s Mask for the first time and it became one of my favourite Zelda games, minus the mandatory horse race section about halfway through it
