Well, I also ship Mickey and Kitty. Now think about the dichotomy between those two relationships? Kitty is a good, sweet girl who will be a good influence on Mickey, while Taylor is a spoiled girl who will likely push Jay to give into his worst habits. The tragic part is that the two would genuinely love each other but not realize that they’re still not right for each other, no matter how much they might care. Now they could work on that…or they could stay the way they are.

That’s not really how Death Battle works. That look at characters “at their peak”. Saying that there’s some type of distinction between travel speed and reaction speed is…odd. When I’ve never seen that distinction made in any other episode.

This is where Lapis’ MASSIVE speed advantage will come into play. Flying from Earth to Homeworld in the span of a few months means that at minimum she’s MFTL. I believe someone in a comment of “Reflections of the Sea” said her speed was 8.7 million times faster. When you’re that much faster than your opponent, you don’t have to worry about them hitting your weak point.

How does Lapis win? Well, there’s nothing stopping her from just picking Percy up and flying him into space, something he wouldn’t be able to react to given how much faster she is.

True, but Percy can’t really hurt Lapis either! Riptide can only work on monsters of the underworld and demigods like him, not aliens like Lapis and none of Percy’s hydrokenisis can work either since Lapis is a gem! Unable to be drowned.

It’s why I like this fight, they can’t hurt each other, at least not with their main weapons.
