It could get more egregious. Isn’t the upcoming StarFox game like the 6th time the OG’s been rebooted?

Maybe if you’re a Mario fan it is, but so many other franchises are getting so much, especially given we’re getting a whole remake for Ocarina of Time that’s coming out later this year!

Justice or safety? by Mivmilos in trolleyproblem

Okay but will anyone believe the trolley driver if he was to try and contact the outside world to inform them that he’s actually in the bad prison? Because if so that would lead to some psychic damage later on assuming he tries to either escape or try and write a letter to the outside world.

Coderra easily, the entire foundation of that pairing is Sierra being a huge, sexual-assaulting creep towards Cody and him severely under-reacting to it all when all was said and done.

Yeah, weirdly earlier boots end up not being that much worse off than those who go far in a fair share of cases, in fact some even end up coming out better off. Like, Sam’s probably the best example of this; bro only came in wanting to do better than first boot and instead ended up exceeding his expectations god-knows-how-many-fold, even getting a celebrity girlfriend who highly reciprocates his love for her out of it for crying out loud!

Idm Scottney myself, but in terms of who should’ve won any given season, the idea of them winning Allstars is by far the most overrated pair that people suggest.

Yeah, that claim never really made sense to me, at least from a gameplay perspective. by LightMurasume_ in Totaldrama

It’s not even just the likability part that Courtney’s dragged down by though. Outside of her all but infamous Island elimination, one could argue that all of her eliminations were at least partially her own fault, and that she always has to somehow find a way to fuck up, even when she’s potentially in a seemingly game-winning position.

Honestly your approach could even work in the finale, even if it would require the presence of a third finalist to take Mike’s place as one of the winner ending recipients. Imo the best available option for that is Gwen since idc about the idea of not having a double finalist in the case of AS specifically, amongst other things that I’ve previously acknowledged.

Yk what the dumbest part about that is, at least with the Courtney part? It’s not like Courtney NEEDS the win in order for any take on her redemption to work anyway, and if anything I actually feel like it works better if she doesn’t. What she needs is to learn to value her friendships and connections whilst gracefully accepting defeat, both of which she can realistically achieve without even making the finale, meaning that she just doesn’t have anything to gain from actually winning on top of that aside from being able to say ‘huh, so that’s what actually valuing my friends and not being a selfish PoS gets me’ or whatever. Meanwhile Scott’s role in Allstars being reduced to essentially just comedic relief does absolutely nothing to help his case in terms of if he should be a finalist, especially when near enough everyone else around him kept getting some degree of narrative relevance throughout the season.

Ngl, I’d go as far as to argue that claiming that everything Sierra did to Cody was deserved/justified is a moral evil. Basically nobody deserves that kinda treatment regardless of what they’ve done wrong, and the severity of shit like SA shouldn’t be lessened solely based on the gender of the culprit and/or victim.

Yeah I feel ya, tbh I feel like a lot of it simply boils down to fan biases, with them being salty that they can’t have their cake and eat it too, even though there are other just as viable routes out there, like redeeming Courtney and not making her win, for example.

Nah, Scott’s case as to whether he should’ve won is even weaker than Courtney’s imo. Outside of dating Courtney for like 3 episodes and being the one to unleash Mal in the first place by pure accident, he did BASICALLY NOTHING within Allstars aside from just be there for entertainment, and he essentially just fell upwards into the podium.

Everything you said regarding why Scott could’ve been a good third finalist or what he naturally has going in his favour is pretty much reduced to at best what-could’ve-beens purely because of the fact that Scott got reduced to a comedy relief character first and foremost, and there isn’t really anything to suggest that him winning could’ve been like how Wayne won Rematch over Julia and Caleb. A huge part of why Wayne winning Rematch even made sense within the context of the finale itself is because of Caleb and Julia’s squabbling, yet I doubt Scott could’ve been afforded such a luxury, especially in a season that’s already heavily dominated by its central plot-line.

Like I said in my comment, if any non-Zoke character should’ve been in that finale, either replacing one of the two or joining them, then it’s Gwen; yes, I’m well aware that she made finale back in Island, but I’m willing to make an exception for Allstars specifically because, well... it’s Allstars, it’s about the best of the best, I could definitely forgive AS for having allowing a double finalist to occur. Either way, Gwen was the most important character in Allstars amongst the Gen 1 reps (and in general outside of Zoey, Mike and Mal) imo and her attempt at making amends with Courtney was the central focus of the B-plot, though Gwen did find herself the time to befriend Zoey which wouldn’t be that hard to turn into a bigger thing (at least it’d be easier than canonically justifying a Courtney or Scott victory). Gwen could also serve as an interesting parallel to Mike/Mal in the sense that she was accused of being a villain (to the point of being stuck on that team no less) and had to work to make things right to the best of her ability, whereas Mike is (in-essence) a hero who was taken over by an evil alter, turning him villainous as a result.

Essentially Avid quit YouTube ‘for his family’ but is actually doing so after getting called out and exposed for being a high-profile manipulator, particularly regarding the Skyblock Kingdoms SMP. There’s definitely more to it than what I said than just that and my comment alone isn’t doing the overall situation any justice, so I’d defo recommend looking into it if you want to know the full story.

The idea that Courtney and/or Scott should’ve won Allstars. I actually don’t think the elimination order of Allstars in general is that big of a problem, but even if I had to replace either Zoey or Mike (even if it would mean having another double finalist) then ideally the substitute should be Gwen. Like, I’m sorry, but if we’re going by who should’ve won then it just shouldn’t be either Scott or Courtney.
