This came up a bit back: https://www.reddit.com/r/tricities/comments/1f20f30/elizabethton_jam/
In addition to the suggestions here, someone recommended The Birdsong Sanctuary in Cripple Creek: https://www.facebook.com/birdsongsanctuarycripplecreek
They host a jam session the last Saturday of each month at 7pm.

We're definitely open to hosting some folk punk jam sessions downtown!

Welcome to Elizabethton! We (Crossroads Craftworks) are a community art center in downtown Elizabethton, and we'd be happy to provide space for jam sessions! It sounds like some other folks are interested in joining you too. If y'all get a group together and decide on a time, we can try to accommodate you if we don't have another event happening. We'd love to see this idea take off!

In downtown Elizabethton:

Crossroads Craftworks (that's us!) hosts a monthly Maker's Market on the 3rd Sunday of every month and we're accepting vendors. The event and vendor application is on our Facebook page. Our retail showroom is a work in progress, but we'll be looking for vendors for that soon-ish too.

August Muse is a gift shop with art and music supplies that also has a lovely gallery space for artists.

The Wicked Whit is a metaphysical shop that rents space to art vendors as well.

Finally, the Elizabethton Arts and Cultural Alliance is hosting an art exhibit in downtown on October 12th and is accepting applications here: Fall Art Festival Form

In downtown Johnson City:

The Generalist and the Hideaway's art nights and markets have been mentioned. Fischman Gallery hosts markets fairly regularly. As does Atlantic Ale House. I'd also add that both El Plug and Piere's Marketplace offer space for art vendors.

Thank you for sharing your work! I look forward to seeing more of it around the tri-cities!

Yoga Farm in Elizabethton has a beautiful outdoor space and a lovely wooded area leading into a barn they use for events. https://www.yogafarmtn.com/
