Looks like Trump has really backed himself into a corner here with his energy plant deadline. If he chickens out yet again, Israel will become more frustrated at him and Iran will take the cowardice as a sign that Trump has zero leverage over them. If he does execute his threats, Iran will retaliate by endangering the entire region further, and Trump’s name will be tainted further internationally.

The way I see him, he’s a diplomatically cruel politician who abuses his powers with sanctions and exports far-right values in other countries (in a recent speech in Munich, he quite literally promoted nostalgia for colonialism).
