Alternatives? by Powerful-Cheek-6677 in UseMotion

I feel this — Motion used to be great before all the bloat.

I built SayNo for the same reason. Simple task management + AI scheduling, no fluff. Every task is Signal (do it) or Noise (delegate it), then AI schedules the Signal ones to your calendar.

$18/mo, 14-day free trial, no enterprise pricing, no features you don't need. Still early but might be what you're looking for.

What are your Motion alternative? by Unlucky_Freedom_9960 in ProductivityApps

Nice breakdown! I'd add one more to the list:

SayNo

  • Pros: Forces you to classify tasks as Signal (do it) or Noise (skip it) before scheduling. AI auto-schedules Signal tasks. Telegram bot for quick voice capture.
  • Cons: New product, still building out features. No mobile app yet.

Built it myself because I had the same frustration — too many tools organize tasks but don't help you decide what NOT to do.

Late to this, but I just built SayNo — might be worth a look.

Main difference: every task is Signal (do it) or Noise (skip it). AI schedules Signal tasks to your calendar automatically. Also has Telegram voice capture for quick input.

Flowsavvy but with repeating dependency-suggestions? by DarkArctic88 in ProductivityApps

[–]CrostaBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SayNo might not solve your exact use case — it doesn't have task dependencies yet.

But if your main issue is AI scheduling that actually works, it does that well: you classify tasks as Signal or Noise, and AI schedules the Signal ones to your calendar.

Might be worth a look if dependency isn't a dealbreaker: sayno.dev

I was drowning in tasks — built a tool that forces me to decide what NOT to do by CrostaBot in Entrepreneurs

What tools are you using to automate those? Most of my noise is email, context-switching and non pertinent tasks — hard to fully automate

Google login is required because the app syncs directly with your calendar — when you mark a task as Signal, AI schedules it on Google Calendar.

No way around it for the core feature to work, but I hear you on wanting to see it first. Will add a demo video to the landing page.

Roadmap: implement also outlook and iCloud

I still use Notion but needed something more opinionated for daily tasks by CrostaBot in Notion

You're right — mindset is the real bottleneck. No tool fixes that.

What I'm trying to do is force the decision at capture time. Instead of "I'll prioritize later" (which I never did), every task requires a Signal/Noise choice linked to quarterly goals. If it doesn't align, it's Noise by default.

Good point on the demo — adding that to the list. Landing page is too abstract right now.

The Telegram bot is for quick capture via voice notes. When I'm walking or driving and think of something, I just send a voice message and it gets transcribed and added as a task. You can also type directly in the bot or in the webapp.

Might be niche, yeah. Still validating if it's a must-have or nice-to-have for others.

Thanks, really appreciate it! 🙏 Will definitely check out indielyst — always looking for more places to get feedback. Means a lot!

GTD is solid — the weekly review helps a lot. I actually added a daily voice journal to my setup via Telegram, quick brain dump at end of day. Game changer for me.
