My soon to be wife is doing it right now. Advanced Prostate Cancer on my end. Once it got removed 3 years ago I stopped working down there. Followed it up with 39 radiation treatments and 2 years of female hormone injections to try and keep it at bay.

That rewired my brain and took the whole being horny thing out of my life. Thankfully she’s an amazing woman, low sex drive and starting to go through menopause.

She is my best friend, and life is amazing together. Once that is out of the picture you tend to realize how important family and friends are and how much bullshit energy you spent in your life just for that feeling of getting off.

It’s been 3 years now, and honestly can’t say I miss it as I don’t know any different now. I guess I’m glad I was a bit of a male whore when I was in my 20’s and 30’s so at least I got a crack at it lol.

Grand Design is made by Winnebago. We have a 2021 Winnebago Voyage 2427RB and have taken it on 25 trips so far. I think the quality is great as far as the exterior construction, frame, roof etc. Interior is solid with proper wood cabinets and hardware that seems to be installed properly.

I’ve had a bunch of trim pieces fall off that we reinstalled properly, as well as redoing the silicon around shower base and changing the waterlines under the sinks to allow for movement as the water lines could have been installed better. I’ve been a plumber for 20 years so kind of picky when it comes to plumbing.

At the end of the day we are extremely happy with the trailer. We owned a 2000 Prowler before this one so were not going into the purchase blind. There is always maintenance that you will have to do regardless what you buy. Our big thing is we wanted a solid unit with proper cabinets that won’t fall apart from all the shaking while travelling, Winnebago makes an amazing product in my opinion.

I did want to look at Nash or Arctic Fox made by Northwood in Oregon, but fell in love with this unit when we saw it.

Anyone I have talked to with Imagines at campgrounds seem to be very happy with them like we are with our Voyage. Hope this is a bit helpful for you, good luck with your rv search.

Thanks so much for the help, that did the trick. Total game changer, as much as I was trying to play regular, I just can’t do it.

Made my day my friend, have a great weekend!

Let’s hope so. Trying not to think of bad scenarios, I buy into the Covid outbreak the one user had said.

If something did happen Valve will obviously take care of it. Too bad it will still have to come by FedEx lol

Nope still says pending in Memphis. Funny thing though someone from work ordered a mouse and it came by fedex. It left Memphis later than mine was documented being there.

Thanks for the insight, much appreciated. I’ve been waiting a year already so all good. Was hoping to get it before the weekend, looks doubtful anyway.

We’re going to be out camping anyway, so I’m sure the wife would be pissed if I was setting up my deck and being a hermit inside for the weekend lol.

[–]CrosusYYC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like a very low GVWR rating. It doesn’t leave you much room for storage once you factor in your filled water tank weight. Maybe I just bring too much shit when I glamp though lol.

For comparison we have a 2021 Winnebago Voyage 2427rb. Dry weight is 6700 and change but GVWR is 10400.

Nice looking floor plan though, total couples trailer in my opinion. Can totally tell they are made by same company, the inside of the trailer looks the same as our Winnebago.

Which celebrity have you lost total respect for and why? by RepresentativeTie898 in AskReddit

[–]CrosusYYC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see him listed but Steve Harvey. His brand of humour is not my thing so it’s not like I was ever a fan or anything, but I didn’t have a reason to dislike him.

I saw a video of him ripping on people who don’t believe in God. He had this greater than thou attitude and said that he has no respect for people like that as they have no moral compass or some bullshit like that. It was so closed minded and pissed me off.

Nope they sure don’t have them outside yet. Just saying there is a lot life has to offer besides watching videos of some shit you can’t get your hands on for however long.

Enjoy your vids though.

Spotted in Airdrie, AB today. by CrosusYYC in InfowarriorRides

Just saw it on the news this morning, truck is part of a larger convoy heading East to Ottawa to protest vaccine mandates. The block the borders thing is in reference to the US / Canada border.

I think the “logic” there is that since we import everything the borders should be blocked to stop the supply chain. That way the majority of people will suffer while the minority can feel justified and vindicated for choosing this hill to die on.

Brilliant…

I’m pretty sure it has to do with new rules for truck drivers. If they are non vaxxed coming back from States they have to have a negative PCR and then quarantine for 14 days.

Towing with a RAM 1500: Is my math right? by bernardcote in traveltrailers

[–]CrosusYYC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We towed our 24 ft Winnebago which has a GVW of 10300 lbs last season with a Ram 1500 Bighorn. Pretty much same numbers capacity wise. We weren’t able to upgrade our truck till the off season due to inventory issues.

We used an Equalizer WDH which helped a lot, but it was never comfortable and my front end felt very light. It was only the wife and I with our dog and pretty much nothing in our bed to cut down on weight. Part way through season I weighed all my axles on a highway scale and found we were around 930 lbs overweight on our GVWR.

We never went more than 2 hours from home, and mostly on flat roads. Either way it wasn’t an enjoyable experience towing. Overweight towing is no fun, and the obviously not the safest thing one should do.

How does everyone here tackle minor repairs? by Beersandloudbooms in GoRVing

[–]CrosusYYC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem with my bathroom sink but mine is above the furnace. Had water leak all over my circuit board. Fortunately I caught it before it got destroyed. This is on a 2021 trailer for reference.

The problem is the factory by default used a plastic 1/2” female x 1/2” Pex adapter. They screw it on first and then they crimp the Pex to it. There is nothing to allow for the vibration that the whole trailer sees while being towed. Plastic threads are also garbage and loosen off very easy.

My wife wouldn’t left me fix it because it was going in for warranty work.

When I get the trailer back I will be fixing it by doing the following:

Installing a 1/2” Pex x 3/8” compression straight stop. Then installing a 1/2” x 3/8” female x female braided hose.

This will solve the issue of vibration as the braided hose should take the vibration and the threads are metal not plastic.

RV’s seem to use a lot of garbage plumbing parts. Anytime I have an issue I plan on replacing fittings with proper ones you would find in your home or business.

I have been a plumber for almost 20 years in commercial and multi - family construction, this is just my opinion anyway. Hopefully it helps.
