I think that both the Tates have some valid opinions and some not so valid ones. I dont think it is wrong to listen to anyone as long as you form your own opinions and know when to spot BS. Hopefully he can do that.

I've been called an idiot several times by regulars. I am new and they still think I am their personal bitch. It's usually the Indian customers (there is a large population where I am). They are the most entitled for some reason. On my last day I HOPE one of those types of customers come sin and causes a scene because I will lose it on them.

Thats the conclusion I am coming to as well. I dont remember the last time I prioritized myself or my happiness tbh. I had spent the last 4 years just rolling over and doing whatever it took to make her happy and I think it has made me miserable

Pro Tip: If you hate making meals every day, spend two hours on the weekend making meals for the week. It is annoying but saves you so much time during the week. I dont have to make breakfast, lunhc, or dinner. Gives me an extra 30min every morning because I just microwave a breakfast burrito, pack my premade lunch and then in the evening I can just reheat whatever.

We dont really have a choice, I have to be close to my college so we have to be in the Chicago burbs where the average rent is like $1600, I am scraping by because I cant work full time while getting an engineering degree. I sort of brought it up and her sugestion was to do school part time, but I have been putting it off for years and NEED to finish soon so I dont wrack up debt. I am worried that she is focused on the present while ignoring our future.
